Title: Rescuing People
Post by: Scorpion6981 on June 18, 2014, 07:28:14 PM
I think that when someone from a friendly colony becomes incapacitated that instead of just capturing them, you should be able to save them and return them to their colony when they are no longer wounded. I have had a lot of trouble with new hostile colonies because I have tried to save someone form their colony. I hate it when you have to sit there and watch someone die because you can't afford to make that colony hostile. Instead you should be able to save them. You can add a new type of the the bed for people that need rescue. This can also be used to raise the good will of some of the other colonies, since there isn't any other way to do that now.

^^^ THIS ALL THE WAY!

I had this happened and was disappointed I captured them and took them prisoner, but I didn't want to watch them die.

Maybe the original tribe should send out a search party and they go to your base. A dialog box pops up from them asking if you have seen any survivors and you get the option to lie and keep them, say you have them prisoner, or give them back.

I don't wanna watch someone die, even a raider, so I rescue them, but I can't afford to have FOUR factions hostile.

Yes, there should be an option to mark a bed as guest bed  and that is where you would put your wounded allies as well as allocate any visitors. It could have some result on your relations.

This, especially if there was a chance based on your doctors' social skills that they joined the colony without any negative relations.

Yes, this bothers me as well. It's on the to-do list; it'll just take some work to do the code required.
