Had this game for a year or two, looked great when i first played so i thought i'd wait for it to be complete...
Litteraly sat waiting for steam achievements before i play now, 1.0 is supposed to be in development and this should be no.1 priority in my opinion if you want this game to have some shelf-life

... Lol. Good joke.
The game's shelf life is already waaaaaaaay longer than most games.
Adding achievements would be cool. But they are in no way and should be in no way the priority for this or any game.
Finishing the game should
always be prioritized over achievements.
I just want emoticons so I can spam tiny muffalo and cowboy hats in steam chat
I told myself I would wait for steam achievements before I revisited the game... but I couldn't help myself.
But yes some of us are achievement hunters.
FYI, Tynan previously stated he won't add achievements to the game.

Well nope...
Unless you're telling me to get an achievement of dark harvest or having 10.000 power & getting a zzzt or having alot of wealth and getting huge raids or opening a ancient ruins for a achievement.
Well sometimes getting an achievement for kicks or for showing off or just getting it is a guilty pressure of mine.
The standard "you get them just by playing normally" achievements are worthless.
I think Rimworld could benefit (slightly, but still) by achievements like those in World Of Warcraft - things you normally wouldn't do, because they are sub-optimal.
E.g. beating the game without researching X. Beating the game without ever having more than X colonists etc. - these kinds of achievements, the "challenge" type.
Aside from that I think this is really low priority and the developers should rather focus on other things first.
wow nice!! ;D

This. Get players out of their comfort zone and try new things, new ideas and new strategies.
