Just started a new game in Rimworld and I want to research vents. The wiki is not helpful with this.
Is it unlocked with coolers or electricity or what?

I think they are part of complex furniture. I never use them so I forget exactly but it is early research. (vents are just weak spots in your walls)

Hmm I always thought it was part of electricity since that's what unlocks heaters n stuff.

Turns out it is unlocked with electricity. The Wiki needs more info.

I don't know which version you're playing, but in 1.0 (or I guess its called .19 now) its unlocked with complex furniture.
