Title: Resurrected wild man prisoner can't be recruited
Post by: patlinnett on September 14, 2018, 10:17:51 AM
Hi guys,

One of my colonists got the mental break where they go and 'live with the animals'. Before I could 'Tame' her back to the colony, she stepped on a couple of traps and died (I assume this is what happened; I didn't see, and the corpse was on top of a trap blueprint where there used to be a trap). So, I resurrected her and had the option to take her prisoner, which I did. I have her on 'Release Prisoner', but all my wardens do is feed her. I still have the option to tame/hunt her but no colonist acts on them either - It seems that she is still a wild man after being resurrected, and the game doesn't like having wild men as prisoners.

Also, she is still marked as 'Dead' on the wildlife tab.

Just thought I'd share this here, as it seems like a real edge case!

I fixed the problem by changing 'Wild Man' to 'Colonist', and the Prisoner boolean to False. I can recruit her back to the colony the way one normally recruits prisoners.

EDIT: Never mind, my colonists are still ignoring her.

Thanks, we should look at this.

Btw, do you have any mods running? Can you zip and post the savegame where this is occurring?

Pawns are normally downed for 2 days after being resurrected, and wardens can't interact with downed pawns. If this is what happened here then I think it's working as intended. If not, then it would be great if you could attach a savefile.

This indicates that the pawn was downed. I think it's working as intended. Thanks for reporting though.
