I'd love for the multiple colonies feature to be more optimized and fleshed out. the planet atm feels a bit dull and the multiple colonies feature goes completely un-used. I was wondering if this is something the dev team is working on, or if theres any mods that achieve this?

I agree.
Streets building on the planet surface should be also a good improvement.
