Title: Start Colonists
Post by: Rullepelle on February 01, 2019, 03:25:57 AM
Hello all

So when i start a new colony, i usually spend 20+ min for finding funny colonist but most of the time i end up in a start location that i dont want.

Is there anyway to "Save Colonists" and try again?

Maybe i am wrong with the B19 version.
What did you download ?
Test release 1 (for game version 1.0.2059+) should work.

Ok, i see the problem.
The link from the mod topic lead you straight to the B19 version and you are unfamilar with Github.
Use
https://github.com/edbmods/EdBPrepareCarefully/releases
then you notice another release for game version 1.0.2059

For those who plays without mods there is a way to select and remember start location first, then return and carefully choose pawns to play with.

You can get a chance to recruit the 'left behind' colonists later on. Ive had family members of some of my colonists end up in the pirate faction for example  ;D

If you're failing to initialize, it's probably because you made/left family that doesn't exist. That's been my solution to the problem, anyways. Go to the "relationships" tab in Prepare Carefully and remove everybody that isn't one of the pawns you made.
