I really want to download all the factions mods I can get for 1.0. But I have no idea how many factions are there in total as mods. I know there are quite a lot of them, but I cant really find most of their links. So, can everyone pitch in and help me as well as others with links of as many factions as you can find? Thanks a lot!

Burn... Harsh... but correct - searching isn't much fun. You might get better luck searching via Steam than the forum, but maybe not...isn't not like there's one central repository EVERYONE uses. Good luck.
Well there are the Race mods like the Orrassans (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=22336.0)or the Androids (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=35663.0)which adds new races for your colony to recruit but also to play as their faction as well...
BTW here's a shameless link for my playable lore friendly outlanders for vanilla (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=37065.0)if you wanted to play as them, instead of crashlanded colonists or a tribe... :P
