Title: Best mods for knights and castles and bows and swords?

Not looking for elves or magic or orcs. Just looking for ramparts and shiny armour. Some new swords and the option to build a moat.

Looking for a King Arthur type play-through. Suggestions?

My Friend, There is something and a mod overhaul called or known as Medieval Times. (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=22316.0)

It adds some medieval looking armor for your warriors, like some are knightly and some are worn by footmen and man-at-arms or militia during those times. ;)

Though i'm not sure if i encountered or remember any mod that adds moats for 1.0, though there is something like embrasures  (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=42179)for your archers...

That's great - it looks like it fleshes out the early game without adding funky stuff. It seems to NOT remove high-tech. That's fine. That will provide an end-game.

Can anyone else recommend additional mods/content?

There's a mod called Medieval edition, for 1.0 . It removes high tech items and factions.
