So someone from a faction I'm at war with crash landed near my base. She's not worth recruiting and my lone colonist is busy doing other things so I'm just going to let her die. It would be nice if I could top off my colonist's recreation by raping her in lieu of playing horseshoes again. It can also be an activity for Wardens to do in colonies that keep multiple prisoners.
I know this is really awful and I wouldn't suggest it if this game was all rainbows and sunshine but, I mean, there's cannibalism, organ harvesting, and slave labor in this game so why not rape?
It's not like cannibalism is a daily threat to a large part of our population or anything.
Heck, there aren't too many people who have actually had a family member eaten, so that's unlikely to be directly horrifying, whereas the number of ppl in-game rape could actually trigger PTSD? So many...
It's also REALLY hard to put rape into either a fictional book or a computer game, and handle it in an actually positive way.
Anyway, if you want to go down that horrifying rabbithole, RimJobWorld is for you, and I hope randy drops flaming death on all your colonists.

I'm running an excellent 5 start brothel using prisoners from failed raids. I do relesae the mafter some time (too crowded) or even recruit some.
Half the factions on the map are my buddies/allies (trough d***, unity!)
My base is better defended than the Emperors Palace and the starship engine has 5 days left to go.

Or, heck, computer game ratings. Steal cars, run over people, kill innocent bystanders by the dozens (and heck, get bonus points for doing that sort of thing), go for it. Have a blurred out sex scene in disabled code? Forced to release an update for that.

But I did not say anything wrong. There's 5% of humanity that doesn't feel any emotions at all when they are doing things the rest of us find horrific.
What he is advocating is not the same as the other things that are already in the game. Organ harvesting, murder, cannibalism... it's all optional. What he is advocating is a mechanic whereby pawns will automatically 'entertain' themselves on prisoners. Even if you made it so only the psychopaths do this, it would be a horrifically bad game design choice and would put an instant 18+ rating on your game and may even have it blacklisted on many sites.
My answer will always be the same - go play Second Life or find that mod.

Created an account literally to add my two cents on this 'idea'. We already have sex in the game, but that's in an entirely different context between two consenting partners/pawns. So yeah, this game isn't already the height of purity with sex, cannabalism, slavery, etc.
But adding in rape for recreation is a whole nother step. And from the personal perspective of a rape survivor I'm honestly uncomfortable and a little horrified, even if it's in the context of a game.

There's no experience that goes with such an addition. But there is already a mod that allows this (and more worse things) if you must have rape in your game.

Dude go gaslight someone else. I'm not going to answer to a guy who can't decide whether he's in the 5% or not while stating that rape is the same thing as sex. Don't put words in my mouth when you're doing a good job of removing all doubts from people's minds anyway.
