Title: Changing platform
Post by: razor787 on May 15, 2020, 04:41:01 AM
I am living in Russia, but my credit cards are all Canadian. I've been wanting the game for a while, but my cards don't work on the Russian version of steam, so I couldn't buy it from there.

Once the game was finally released on GOG, I was able to get it. With other games, you buy from GOG, but get the key for steam. That wasn't the case here, and now it seems impossible to keep my mods up to date.

Is there any chance I am able to get a steam key if I prove that I bought the game from GOG?

No clue about GOG and Steam key, but couldn't you just buy it directly from Ludeon? You get a Steam key that way, too.

You can refund your GOG purchase if you're within 30 days, too.

Buying from Ludeon, I would pay $35 American, which would mean even more Canadian + credit card conversion.

I bought it from gog for 600 rubles, or around $12. It wouldn't make financial sense to pay around 3x the price just to get it on steam.

I am guessing there is no way to get a steam key though. Oh well.
