Title: For the forums: tagging Mod releases
Post by: RemingtonRyder on August 30, 2014, 01:09:44 PM
Basically, instead of cluttering up the subject lines in the Mod forums, how about some cool tags (for game versions and so on) that mod creators can add to their post?

The exact opposite was suggested before (a couple months ago, I believe). They post the version in the subject field so you'll know if there's been an update without having to click into the mod's thread.

Why can't we have both?

Little image tags next to a subject to signify something, for instance a 7 For alpha 7. (That's a whole 6 characters less!)
Some sort of character conserving syntax like the bugs forum maybe?
[M|A7] - Mod, Alpha 7
[P|A5] - Modpack, Alpha 5
Maybe something to signify when the OP has been edited? As sometimes you still need to click into it when the new version of the mod is on the same version of rimworld as the last mod version. As the subject line remains unchanged. (Doesn't occur that often, but it still happens.)

Yeah, that's what I was getting at.  It would still be in or after the subject line, but in tag form.  So for example, you could click on the [A6] tag and see all mod posts tagged with Alpha 6.  Pretty neat, huh? :)
