Title: [Mod Request] Colonist Editing Furniture
Post by: Goldsmyths on September 21, 2014, 04:41:27 AM
What? A tool/furniture that lets you alter the traits or past of a colonist.
Why? Cause getting joggers legally is just that hard when he's always the first to arrive, and having a boat loads of friends 5 seconds away from him, which is barely enough time to incap him. Not to mention how incaping is kinda "luck based", even with special mods, since getting 1 person up front is like trading 1 colonist for a new prisoner.
How? I'm guessing this could be made using events tied to a late game building (Brain Surgeon Chair? Chip Implanter?).
We already have mods that allows alteration of starting colonist, and it comes with an interface (http://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=4554.0).
Which is why I think it's an event, similar to TTM's reward event?
So why not have one for a recruited colonist mid-game?  :)

Not really. Since over-powered things has been added by mods, but was made late-game or expensive, so why not have a colonist editor in-game. Just make it more expensive than making MAI for example.

Somehow I misread the title when I first looked at it. Because this thread was right above "Corpse Eating Animals", I read this one as "Colonist Eating Furniture" and immediately thought of a herd of couches being hit by a psychic wave.

Accidental brilliant mod idea!
