Title: Faction help
Post by: Herc18 on October 20, 2014, 03:17:13 AM
Just wondering how many factions there are when you start a new world and how is that decided? Like raider, tribe, outlander. Is it totally random or is there a way to add more? Just not sure on how the system works thanks for any help :)

I believe it's random, but i'd imagine tougher difficulty levels would have some effect.

The factions have required count of 1 each
so there's always one of each kind in every world
and I think 5 (citation needed ;D) visible factions
and the first three are obviously the Tribals, Villagers and Pirates
and the remaining two are chosen randomly out of those three

atleast that's how I think it goes
The only fact I know is the minimum amount of factions at the game start is atleast 1 of each kind =P

Additionally, factions are determined when you generate a world. You can see faction location on the map. Clicking on it (or looking at the color) tells you what type of faction it is.
