Been scanning the map like crazy, and can't find the victim. Of course, my colonist are not happy about this.

Yeah, I have a crematorium that works just fine - I just can't find the friggen body!
Build a dumping stockpile that accepts Colonist corpses, set it to max priority, and wait. If they never find the stiff, it's either in an area that they can't reach (perhaps a tree or something is blocking it), or perhaps there is some sort of bug where the body is not appearing.

Is the haul distance maxed out? I've forgotten about setting a distance one or twice, after wondering why cremating wasn't taking place.
OK - I normally put a small humanoid dumping ground right in front of the crematorium. Just changed that to Critical priority. Hopefully that will do it!
Well, that didn't do it. Needed to manually find her, hidden by trees.
Any chance we can have some type of locator? The colonist know where the bodies are, so should we!
it might be forbidden, but usually forbidden do not cause the unburied thought, so unfortunately the best idea I can offer is to save the game and re-load it then do another search for the body
Is the colonist listed as "Missing?"
Sometimes they have already been cremated.
Find a dead body (any body) zoom out so you can see the whole map, double click the dead body then mark it as forbidden then unforbid it. If you did it right you will have selected ALL dead bodies on the map and marked the as haulable. Then it's just a matter of setting the crematorium range to unlimited. If that doesn't fix it it DEFINATLY is somewhere unreachable. Also when you select all the bodies you might be able to notice its election box it it's behind/under a tree or something.
Only works on each faction. Select a raider corpse then use it to select all bodies and you'll select all dead raiders of the same faction. In order to find the colonist corpse, you'd have to have another dead colonist to work with.
I'd suggest checking regularly trafficked areas. Colonists are obviously walking past this body at some point in their daily routines
Argh... this is continuing to cause me unbalanced grief. I got attacked by barrage, somewhere there is a dead body. One by one the whole colony is freaking out over it...
We need a way to inquire the freaking out person, or simply to have a "locate dead bodies" command. This is silly to lose 20+ hours of game play because of a hidden body. I play at the max size (400x400?) so can't zoom out and see everything.
Perhaps post your save game and world file somewhere so someone can assist? Have you tried zooming out and dragging selection boxes everywhere to see if you scoop up the body?
The other option is to follow colonists around watching their thoughts and see when the penalty increases. Could substantially concentrate the search.
With EDBs Interface mod you can select a dead colonist on the top of the screen and it will point straight to him
