Title: Too Much Fire/Wont go away
Post by: Undeadnightmare on November 07, 2013, 06:18:11 PM
I just recently made a new colony. I was making a base and lightning hit the ground and started it on fire. I went to go put it out but it spread unusually fast. When i put it out it would come right back. Anybody else have this happen to them? (I had all 3 colonists trying to put it out)

What I do is clear vegetation from around structures and build a concrete walkway around them to keep fire from spreading to them. Let it burn I say, saves me the trouble of cutting it myself lol.

Best way to combat fire I find is prioritize it manually. The Colonists aren't really that smart when it comes to combating fire. x1 speed and make sure you home zone the fire area. Then send the crew in to combat it prioritizing the smaller fires first. the larger ones generally burn themselves out quicker, so your best option is to kill the smaller flames before they have a chance to grow and spread themselves.

I never thought bout putting concrete around myself, though that's an excellent idea I might try that.
