Is the price of this going to come down at all? I really like this game and would like to support it but 30 dollars for an early alpha just isn't in the cards for me right now. I don't think 30 dollars at launch would be very reasonable either.
BEFORE the first alpha I thought it was worth at least $40us (in the kickstarter), and from your comment I (if I was tynan) would set the release price to $130, just so you could moan about how you missed buying the game for ONLY $30, and just on play time (usually in 10-12 hour blocks sometimes only 1 hour long) I have a BARGAIN as I have about 10 hours in game for every hour on the forum
Like with every single steam game out there, the price is going to drop dramatically as time progresses. If u want early access or simply just play the game at release however, u certainly gonna pay more then ..lets say 2-3 years from now.
Game is worth the $30 as it is right now. If you can't afford the $30 or don't want to buy it at that price, then wait until its on Steam and there is some sort of steam sale with it. Might take a while though.
Once it's released on steam it will undoubtedly end up in steam sales, so you will probably be able to purchase it at a lower price eventually if you are willing to wait.
But there's no way to know when this will be.
30$ may seem steep considering how the game looks at first sight, but it sure was worth it for me.
The only regret i have is that i didn't buy it earlier than i did :)
This is easily the best value game bought all year, in terms of price paid against hours played. I only wish i had backed the KS.
Actual price of 30$ is a very fair price. Game have incredible replayability value right now, and still more features to come in the future.

not to forget the fun of reading the changelog on a daily basis and having the feeling of witnessing something great growing while you watch it (and play it)
