Description:
This mod simply makes about four times as many factions spawn when you make a new world. This should make it more interesting dealing with many groups. You must start a new world to spawn extra factions.

Is there a way to maybe increase visits? It is always funny when 2 factions are friendly towards you but hate each other and a brawl breaks out in your front yard ;)

Yea, you can make them visit you more often.
It's actually a quick fix, go to RimWorld folder Mods --> Core --> Defs --> IncidentDefs, then right click Incident_Good_Misc and choose edit
Now you can change the chance of a VisitorGroup and TravelerGroup if you want, I've changed it from 8 to 12.
Congratulations, you've just modded RimWorld :) I love how easy it is to "mod" some things in this game.

I am really hoping to see this mod or a mod like it brought to A 13. I feel like it made a huge difference in the late game when you had more than just the pirates mad at you
Ok had to make a new account just to post this since I lost details to my other forum account.. But just announcing I played tested this today for A13 and apart from the console giving 3 errors, the mod works flawlessly on A13, No bugs encountered so far other than the console start-up error ones.
Ok I "updated" the mod, well really just changed the layout of the mod page. Anyways it now says it works with Alpha 13.

Yeah was about to jump back on and tell you after 3 different worlds I can confirm it ISNT as compatible as it seems, it works at first however after the first reload of a world enemy raids and traders will stop spawning even with dev mode telling them to. Sorry for misinforming you it did work up until I had to reload the save which is.. beyond weird I don't know why it only fails after a reload.

Ok, Only get the first download, the one that JUST says More Faction spawns, the others are compatiablity patchs for other mods, and if you don't get the mod the patch is for, but get the patch, it will break your game.
Edit: Opps I may have named the mod Craftable Medicine by mistake, that my be why some where confused :P.
The top mod is craftable medicines, I downloaded it an look in the textures file, I saw the medicine workbench

Thought you should know... This is NOT compatible with Alpha 13. It "Appears" as if it is going to work when you start a game.. However, whenever a raid.. or visitors.. or anything that should spawn factions to the map happens.. It errors out and no one appears.
Plz fix, would love you use it. Thanks.

Ok just to fix any bugs with Alpha 13, there's a new v1.01 download, this will remove any bugs you may have, (unless its something caused by other mods).

The mod has worked so far but 4 seasons have passed since I made the colony with 0 faction events.
I ran into a bunch of errors but ill try to redownload and try agian i might be using the old version it was a bunch of errors with PawnGroup not being a XML state. lets see if its repeats.

No new type of faction should appear, the mod just spawns more factions, so like you would normally have one outlander town, now the mod makes 3. It only works when you make a new world. Also If you downloaded any of the other patchs, they are for alpha 12 mods and won't work.
So I tried using this mod with the Hospitality mod but I guess these two mods are incompatible because whenever the extra factions try to raid me they just stand there doing nothing.. Would be nice to see this compatible with that mod :)

It is compatible, I play with that mod on, it must be something else. Maybe you downloaded the wrong version or its some other mod that is making it brake.
additional factions are not spawning for me... I installed the mod without problems, but it just doesn't work. is there a specific load order I should follow?

Okay I've just changed the post, you were likely downloading the wrong thing (A patch for another mod that DOES add more factions), as no NEW types of factions are created, and for this mod to work you need a new world.

That is an Issue with Hospitality, the fix I have found for it is to save and then reload the game

I have'n played with Rimworld in awhile, but last time I did Hospitality worked fine with this mod, but if there is a compatibility issue now, you can generate a new world, then turn of the mod because the factions are generated when the world is.

Hey just a question but are you able to make a compatibility patch for combat realism? I just noticed Combat Realism overwrites your factions.xml file so I get the default amount of factions :(
Edit: I just noticed the code is quite similar to the Combat Realism factions code, I can easily change it so it has the same amount of factions spawning in as this mod and upload it here if you want :)
I will also credit both NoImageAvailable and you when I upload it if I am allowed to upload it

I found a bug in my new A13 save where human factions raids, visitors, traders, etc wont spawn. When I remove this mod it seems to work fine.

Also the mod only is need when you create the a new world.
Combat Realism Patch for More Factions Spawn
This Patch does nothing but change replace the factions.xml from Combat Realism so you can play with the same amount of factions as shown in More Factions Spawn while using Combat Realism.
If you have any issues with this patch I am sorry, I am not that good with coding and all I did was change a few values, please let me know if this works :)
But also please thank Anonemous2 for the creation of More Factions spawn and NoImageAvailable for the creation of Combat Realism. Like I said before I only changed a few values.

... Must be doing something wrong really.
Tried to add this mode, no go, only 4 factions. So I tried removing all the mods I'm using, created a new game, randomize seed.... Still no go, only 4 factions. :(
The file structure for faction xmls changed; instead of one aggregate file, there are now three files which can (and should be) handled separately. There is also a new version test in the abouts and some other tweaks. Try giving the following a whirl:

Alternately, you could run with the updated mod linked by 123nick above, which I noticed about five seconds into creating this post. The above is just something I slapped together on the fly for my own use, not knowing someone else had already done the work.
