I am reporting a minor bug, or perhaps more accurately described as an inconsistency, in relation to what constitutes a valid tile for a Pawn to stand on when working on a job. I will now attempt to demonstrate what I mean with simple diagrams...
O = Pawn
M = Mountain (or other impassable)
X = Location of job
OMM
MXM
MMM
In the above, O is an invalid location for a Pawn to stand at in relation to a job located at X. This is to be expected since there is no way for the Pawn to interact with X as it is surrounded by mountain tiles. But...
OMM
MXM
M M
...in this example, O is a valid location for the Pawn to stand from where the Pawn can interact with the job located at X. Personally I think this is an inconsistency, and if the Pawn wants to interact with a job located at X then the Pawn should be forced to move to a valid location for interaction. In this case the tile directly below X.
I have attached two screenshots to demonstrate the above. (I have split the screenshots into two posts because of the 600kb file limit)
1. What the circumstances were. (see above)
2. What happened.
The Pawn was able to interact with the job from, what I personally think, is an invalid location.
3. What you expected to happen.
I expected the Pawn to have to move to a valid location to interact with the job.
4. How we can reproduce the bug.
It should be both simple and straightforward to reproduce this issue with just about any save game or new game start.
Thank you for your time in reading this.

In the first screenshot (in the above post), there is a mining job circled in red which the Pawns can not interact with because there are no valid locations for the Pawn to interact with the job (due to the mountain tiles).
But in the second screenshot, a Pawn is able to interact with the exact same job, and from a location that was previously invalid.

can confirm, looks like a bug
Moved to Mantis. Thanks for reporting. Quite an eagle eye there!
