Instead of just a Blight that wipes out all crops, Blight II would first wipe out all crops, and would prevent new crops to be planted or to grow until a research project (a cure for the blight) would be completed.
Could very easily turn into a teamkill. No like.
I don't think a blight event like this should outright prevent you from growing anything. Maybe halve the growing capacity of your fields until you find a way of cleansing the soil.
Why not give research more of a purpose? Sometimes a blight would come like said above and that researcher must find a cure for it. That researcher will work on his research bench to find cures for the blight.
But the blight system works different in this version. The blight will wipe out most crops; 1 or 2 crops will survive. Next, those leftover crops will be collected by the researcher and the researcher will analyze it on his research bench. If the crops aren't cured, those crops will slowly start to grow back in a week. During this time, your people will use your stockpiled food supplies rapidly unless your scientist cure the crop. I think this is a pretty reasonable way to make the blight more deadly.
God, you're evil.
Tynan please no. Blights already run rampant for me. I've literally had 4 blights in a row before, and every time I had nearly recovered, it all got wiped out again. Cassandra starved my colonists. she is a cold-hearted bitch.
if you had 4 in a row.... then your just unlucky, because this happens rarely. Also if you just recovered from blight, immediately set all your colonists to growing and hauling. You should get enough food(or even extra food) to stockpile.
Tynan should alter the blight issue, so that there is longer time between each blight. Thus, making blights a good way to clean up your ever growing stockpile of food.
Edit: You are actually extremely unlucky; the most blights I got was 2 in a row and I was doing fine. I guess Cassandra is serious a bitch to you.
