In my experience bears and other predators fall to infections very often. it might be because they don't rest until it's time to sleep, so they don't get the immunity gain speed bonus.

Not just from infections, I have definitely witnessed a turtle straight up kick a bear's *ss.  To be fair, there is a good reason turtles have evolved tough shells and strong beaks, and maybe that bear should have considered a softer target, but I think it's just a general symptom of how super risky melee combat can be right now.  maybe the Turtle bites out a bear eye in the first attack, and then wrecks it's paws next -- suddenly that bear is in for a super tough fight.

I'm eager to make attack turtles. But in the desert no trader brought them yet.

They will slowly make the best attack crew.

No seriously, Imagine 100 turtles attacking. That's insane.

Attack turtles aren't great for instant attacks (i.e. no time to move them into position) or sieges (too far away). But if you have time to deploy them, they are somewhat ridiculous. However, basically anything can outmaneuver them so they're only good for soaking up bullets and melee raiders who decide to attack them directly.

Yeah, I also feel powering them down is going a bit in the wrong direction. I was hoping for things like:

I'm sorry, but I saw the word 'turtles' and my OCD told me that you were talking about tortoises. Please, get the two right:

Turtles - Water
Tortoises - Land

As a father of two turtles i can tell you they don't care what you call them as long as it starts with t and ends with an e or a s.

I think the problem is the behave unnatural predators . In reality, they attack specific vulnerabilities to ( for example, the throat ) so that prey in the rarest cases can defend .
