Just bought and downloaded the game, went to start a new campaign and at the landing site selection screen I get a pink screen for the map. Any thoughts on a fix?

I'm in the same boat. I bought/downloaded today and the bright pink error isn't just showing on the map for landing site locations, but the colonist portraits and the entire game campaign when loaded into.
I found an older post linked below but it doesn't seem applicable since the Unity engine claims you only need a graphical card made post 2004.

I restarted my computer and the issue's gone. Coolbeans.
I had previously tried updating my graphics card driver which was already current, and found the suggestion to restart on the Rimworld subreddit.
Confirmed that shutdown of PC seems to have cleared the issue. Thanks evanosaurus
