I quite liked Xeva's Hair (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=19944.msg219017#msg219017) and using his mod as a base, I've made my own.
Updated for Beta 18. All textures have been updated as well, and they should all look a lot better. Let me know if you feel like they don't.
Also includes two new hairstyles, Wizard and Witch. Wizard was contributed from an anonymous source and I made Witch to accompany it.
I've also added a naming prefix to all styles, and modified the tags a bit. This means that it does NOT work with previous versions of my mod. If you have an ongoing save and would like to update, there's one version with the updated textures and Beta 18 update with the old naming, but it does not include Wizard and Witch and it will not include future updates. Switch over to the new naming as soon as possible.
If you have any issues or feedback, please let me know.
It includes:
19 female hairstyles
19 male hairstyles

If you want to use my art for your mod, go ahead.
For those of you that downloaded my mod and liked it, do I have the treat for you.
Beards.
Expect a total of 6 beards in the next update. In addition to the beards, it will also have another 6 new female hairstyles. Should launch late today or tomorrow.
These look pretty nice. Seeing how you're also tackling the idea of facial hair with the hairstyles, may I suggest looking into getting in contact with-

Dang, beat me to it.
Anyway, very nice hair styles, always in search for more high-quality cosmetic mods to liven up the colonies.

hi nackblad, looks really cool so far.
I'm working own my own mod (see signature), which merges the beards directly to the head graphic, so they are shown when hats are worn.
You can adapt your beards to my mod and release it as an an addon. Still need a little time to get the folder paths working for steam.
Just one thing, your new hair are only for Urban and Rural. Do you plan on making some new cool hair for Punk and especially Tribal? There are very few hair available for the latter.
I was thinking about what would happen to the beards when people wore hats(I usually just ban hats anyway) and your mod seems to be the perfect solution. When I finish it up, I will most likely make a version of this that works with your mod! You might have to help me though, because apart from drawing my skillset is pretty useless.
As for the tribal and punk styles, I might change some of the tags for the current ones to include punk or tribal, but I will also work on an update that would focus entirely on just that. Figured I'd start with urban and rural since that's most likely going to be your first colonists.
Now updated with another 12 hairstyles, including beards. Will work on support for Facial Stuff (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=20886.0) and tribal hairstyles next.
nice work, hope it works though
Updated to Alpha 15 (finally!!).
Oh this looks neat. Nice natural hairstyles and not outrageous
Beards?! *downloads* :D
Naaack! the really fancy tribal hairs, when?

Okay, good answer. Very good answer, I like you
Any chance of releasing a version without the beards for now?

I was planning on releasing a beardless version with the next batch of hair, but I cannot say when this is. Most likely soonish. I've been rather busy lately.
Glad to hear it! I'm quite impressed by the new hair styles you have made, but the whole disappearance act of the beards would irk me during play unfortunately. I'm fiddling around with modding Rimworld so if I find a solution I'll shoot it your way.

If facial stuff doesn't quite strike your fancy, I did see a mod on the Steam Workshop that simply removed the visuals for headgear. So whenever they equipped something on their heads it would still show their hairstyles. Maybe that same mod is somewhere here on the forum?
Updated with tribal hairs n stuff.
Fits in really well. Good work.
Finally updated to Alpha 16. I'm one lazy prick.
By the way, if you didn't see the post I made in Spoon's Hair mod thread: https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=24500.msg296450#msg296450
I finally got around to making the functionality for beards+hats. Still WIP- will probably finish it this evening, but I outline how it'll work in case you want to prep your mod for it.

That's awesome. I would absolutely like to prep my mod for it!
All right, all ready to go. I'm not making a separate mod release post for this since it depends on hair mods, so I suggest adding this link to your OP when your mod is updated to use it. Cheers

Is this compatible with killface's facial stuff? I really like these hairstyles. Ive heard FS fixed the issues of beards disappearing with hats, does this also?
I know theres a mod that adds hats only on the top bar(or on the character, not sure) so you can still see the characters hair. Not sure how this plays with hair mods like this

I believe this might already be in Killface's mod? We talked about it, but I'm not sure if he ever did it. I've also been provided a plugin that would make beards visible under hats for my mod, but I've been too busy to implement it.
As for the hats mod, it should play nice with mods like these. It would be rather strange if it did not.

Killerface responded to my question on whether Spoons hair mod was compatible with Facial Stuff and he replied that it is, but all of his hair were included in Facial Stuff as his beards interfere with Spoons. So either he integrated both Spoons Hair Mod AND Rimhair or he was thinking of THIS mod and not the other. I'll run FS and see if yours was included, because it's top notch and I really want it in my game.
Edit: Spoon confirmed his mod was integrated into FS, will test this one later this week.
Also the mod I was thinking of is irrespective of the disappearing beards issue with hair mods, and simply takes hats off the top icons, keeping them on the characters themselves. For anyone interested its called, 'A world without Hat'
Just wanted to point out this mod works perfectly fine with A17 without any changes. Updating the version info in About.xml is all that would be required for an A17 release.

Jup. I just updated it. Had not yet because I simply forgot.
great mod
I am curious and I apologize for the newbie question. Just if anyone has time.
I have this mod, the Rimsenal Hair mod, and Spoon... And I'm thinking about Facial Stuff.
Does anyone know which of these are compatible, or if they all are? I'd like to add the most I can that work together because I'm an addict now.
Edit: And I have no problem adding and enabling them all and will likely try. I just don't know enough as a new user/player if there is unnecessary overlap or issues or anything that might not show up in a debug menu.
Thank you and happy weekend and thank you for the mod, creator
Those hairs are really sweet, pixel perfect! The more physical variety among pawns, the better.
Keep up the good work!
PS: I love what you did with the Daria cast, could you maybe add the adults aswell? (Jake and Helen, Ms Li, Mr O'Neill, Mr DeMartino, Ms Barch? you also forgot Brittany and Kevin that seems like missed opportunities :)

When I first made the mod it was only 6 hairstyles for each gender, so I picked my favourites. I could certainly go back and add in some more but it wont be for a while.
Updated to Beta 18 and some other things. Read the first post before updating.
OMG! ¡ it´s beautiful *-*!
An update for 1.0 would be nice, I really like using those hairstyles.

I have not looked into 1.0 at all. Unless it changes the way hair works, this should still work(you'll just get a warning but that should be about it)
When 1.0 is officially released, I'll patch this.
Just tested on 1.0 and gave no error.
I don't get errors either, but the textures don't show up. Guess it's just renaming back->north, side->east and front->south.
Yeah, just got one error.
EDIT: Can confirm, just changed the texture names like Syrchalis said and the hair showed up. No error this time.

tiagocc0,
just a question for you. What do you think do these button at the picture you show ?
Maybe try them out and use the results instead to do screenshot with only half of the infos.
No need to share logs, the error is right there at the screenshot, it was a minor easy fix to filenames and there was even no need to edit xml files.
If this was a complex error on a complex mod I wouldn't post a pic like this.
And what's about the "copy" button. That's copy the selected error msg. into the clipboard and you paste it here or into a [ code] frame.
Sure the screenshot show the problem in this case.
Because it would be huge, a full text of nothing. Are you a modder? I am, I've been reading this a lot, for practice I converted the apini mod from a17 to a18, I've traced the problem with the XXL mod which wasn't working in 1.0 but it was a really simple one word that needed to be updated. I've made a very simple mod in harmony to help the orassan modder because she put animals in raids and when in a siege the code would check if the animal could construct the mortar so the code I did would check for a null variable before continuing and recently I've made the colorblind minerals mod, it is quite simple but took some debugging to get the color to work on compacted machinery because it just doesn't like being colored probably because it is hard coded this way.
So I can tell you the rest of the information is not relevant, the only relevant part is the red one, the rest is telling where the error occurred, it says from function to function how it got there, sometimes it great to know and sometimes it doesn't tell anything. Most of the time the information doesn't say much about the mod in question. Right there the error is quite simple, it says change the texture of the filename, the rest of the message is irrelevant, if it was relevant the first part of it is the most important one and we can see from the screenshot it isn't in this case.
If you are willing to call people because of a screenshot then why don't you download the mod, run it, get the error, copy it and post it here.
Yes, you are right most of the additional info is useless.
I just wanted to show you another way to post the infos beside to take screenshots.
And wouldn't it be less work to use the copy button, paste it at the Reply, and maybe delete addional unneeded lines.
Then to made a screenshot, cut out the relevant pic part and attach it to the posting ?
At last you arn't someone who made serveral screenshot of his ingame modlist, and post it as serveral pictures if a modlist is requested ! :-)
Sorry if i bother you with that, keep doing your good work.
With a tool it's pretty easy to bulk-rename the files. I'll probably try this with some other mods too, which probably work fine save for this part.

I would say that formatting a post and taking out the unneeded lines would take more time.
I have a program that take screenshots, I press one button and just pick the part of the screen I want and it already saves in a predetermined folder with a proper name of the active window with date and time.

I used this one http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php
A bit overwhelming at first because it has a lot of options.
I hope this gets updated to alpha 19.
most modders are probably waiting for 1.0 to drop officially. not sure if content will be bc with 1.0 completely so probably not much point in going for b19 now but its less than a day away so we will see
facial stuff no longer integrates the hair mods unfortunately
non-steam link for 1.0 please
did this ever get updated to b19?
any news on a 1.0 release?
Yeah, i'm also wondering on that 1.0 release on Dropbox.
Any news for 1.0?
