sweet, nice little fix
do you think the standing lamps 150 power consumption is a bit much?
He he that's always there things I change after every update ;-)
Thx for sharing and welcome o/
While I love your mod,I have an issue with it. It's incompatible with EdB Prepare Carefully; Something about it makes it impossible for EdB Prepare Carefully to draw its window upon pressing the button. Might wanna look into that for future versions.
While 150 watts is too high, 25 is definitely too low. It's an incandescent bulb (based on it's texture) and they aren't exactly power efficient. I'd say 80-100 watts is more appropriate for the given output.

Yep, came here to report that bug too. Plus another one: when this mod is enabled, building chairs/stools fails. The pawn sets to work, builds the thing... and then once it's complete, the game throws an error and the blueprint disappears without leaving the object behind. This may only be a problem with CCL + Efficient Light, but I haven't checked.
My guess is that this mod's copy of FurnitureBase is borked somehow?
Thank you for the bug reports. I'm not certain I have the technical chops to address mod incompatibility issues, but I'll take a look. One thing you may want to check is that you have the latest version of Efficient Light. I updated it on Steam and here, but if you downloaded from here in the first day or so, you may have gotten a file that had A13 code, and too much of it to boot! That's my fault, and I apologize if my ignorance has caused you any stress. You might also want to fool with your mod load order, as that can often resolve incompatibility issues.

A15 Update?
Just change the version string. Works fine in A15
Uploaded A15 version so people don't have to change the version number themselves.
where to find the attachment sry for being stupid its my first time
At the bottom end of the first post
Can you offer the A16 version too? I'm not ready to move to A17. Thanks
FYI, only logged in users can see and download attachments.
Steam broke my mods... Could you please re-up the A16 version?
yea need a non steam link for a16 please good sir! *tips hat*
Where is the download link?
Does not work for me. Mod is the lastest mod in loading order. No errors in log console at all. When i run the game, log console says "loaded savegame, Efficient Light injected", something like this. But lamp uses 75W
tnx
uhh, so is the mod really deleted by a moderator for good or is just for unregistered/newbies?
No got deleted. That happen to serveral mod releases now.
I think the forum got a new server-admin and though he need to get some free space. :-(
its happen to a few mods that are 2-4 months old I thought it was an auto timed delete thing ?
Taking into account that the mods are so small it's kinda strange and annoying...
FYI:
For everyone who wants the direct download of this mod, I'm here to offer an easy alternative.
- Navigate to your Rimworld Mods folder
- Open the "Core" folder
- Open up \Core\Defs\ThingDefs_Buildings\Buildings_Funtature.xml in your favourite editor (I use Notpad++ but Notepad should work nicely)
- Find this string of text (Ctrl+F and find <basePowerConsumption>)
(https://puu.sh/xOnp5/26f85d9df3.png) - Edit <basePowerConsumption>75</basePowerConsumption> to the power value you'd like it to consume.
- Save, Restart your game if it's running and enjoy.

WOOOOAAAH ! .. hold your horses young cowboy.
While the intent of your suggestion is good.
Do. Not. Change. Core. Files. Ever. Creating a mod with the same effect is childsplay.
Create a folder for your Mod.
Create a subfolder "About"
Copy the About.xml from the Core files.
Create a subfolder called "Defs"
Create a subfolder to defs equal to the folder which contains the Core-XML File you want to change.
Copy the Core XML File you want.
Now change the XML Files with the texteditor of your choice how the guy above described.
With this done, not only did you NOT FUBAR the Core files of Rimworld which NOBODY COULD HELP YOU FIX IT, except for a reinstallation.
You also created your very own mod.

Hey, thanks a ton, I've never done anything modding-wise on Rimworld so this was a first.
I have a few small questions about modding, would I be okay to send you a PM to ask as not to go off-topic on this thread?

So how do I download this if the attachment was deleted by an admin ???
I re-uploaded the attachment. Thanks for the PMs letting me know. I don't check these forums often anymore, but I do get email notifications of PMs, so that's the best way to let me know if something like this needs fixing.
Updated for B18.
As said in pm.
Here is the attachment with your mod as a patch now. Seems like I can't put attachments in pm
It could vastly reduce some incompatibilities problem. Your mod still redefines Core's abstract defs but it's not mandatory anymore (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=35100), we now can inherit from any abstracts regardless of the folder location. And in facts, it can now lead to incompatibilities like this.
I took on me to contact you about that, because I was pointed by my mod users several times to a bug I wasn't able to reproduce myself, but each time, putting my mod right after yours was solving the problem.
Best regards, colleague

Thanks very much, Kaptain Kavern. You're a gentleman and a scholar. I'll check out your modification and upload to Steam sometime this week.
