Title: So, do you have any ideas on what I should name my new settlement?

I'm taking suggestions since I had to start over due to an update.

This depends on the scenario.
For my fallen colonists, it's usually Falltown, Dropville or Crashland.

perhaps Sanctuary, The Castle, Country Crossing, The Slog, or Goodneighbor

Your pawns usually suggest a pretty decent name anyway. If you are playing ice sheet biome, maybe "Ice Station Zebra".

I named my first tribal colony "Scara Brae" because I have a soft spot for early Ultima games.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! You've all provided such
exceptional replies but I'm going with Gunrise Milt. I have no
choice in the matter since my significant other actually purchased
the game and it's what she wanted.

OK, I have to admit that this name should be reserved for colonies that are created in Dwarf Fortress :D

My favourites at the moment tend to be a description of what the place will be when I'm done, like...
"Farm-in-the-Valley"
"Fortress-In-The-Crag"
Similiar to how the NPC Towns name theirs.

If not, I nick a random planet name from my current Stellaris run or from an Ep of Stargate. ;)
