Title: [A14]Modlist <BigHoHo's works> (1.0) More mods to come. last up dated(8\9\16)

Stacks Mods version 1.1

v1.1 fixes medical items from not stacking to increased amounts and hyperweave.

Super Stacks:
Increases the max stack size for most items 20000 for raw materials and
1000 for meal.

Balanced Stacks version 1.0
Increases the max stack size for most items 300 for raw materials and
30 for meal.

Any feedback is greatly welcomed

Does require new save as far as I can tell. 

How to install:
- Unzip the contents and place them in your RimWorld/Mods folder.
- Activate the mod in the mod menu in the game.

Does it require a new colony, or should it work with saved games ?

With the manipulation of files DEF, I made more capacious stacks 999999 for resources and 500 for output. And it does not require modification of the new game and actually in any of the current games after downloading

Seems like a bit much with 999999 stacks. That's why I made a more balanced one for the rimworld vanilla feel but with better stacks.

The balanced version seems like it's in the right area with regards to the numbers. Might give this a try some time.

Great to hear it sounds good. I think 300 is the pawn carry limit for most items. Also stay posted for other mods as well they I will be releasing.

Parameter: stackLimit - Responsible for the limit of stacks

Yep basically edited that file and few others still have problems with some items not liking the stacklimit for a few items like meds for instance they don't like to be stacked higher then 75.

I believe the stackLimit for meat is hard coded. Possibly the same for meds?

For sure on meat and leather just the way that it is generated when u start the doesn't give it a core def I thought meds might have been different. Since there is a location in the defs for it unlike meat and leather.

It looks like meds are parented onto ResourceBase, defined in Items_luxury.xml.

I would expect that setting the value from 75 to something else there would work.

Are you saying that it doesn't?

Have not tryed the actual med item but heal meds should have made myself clear there. But I have tryed that yet I assumed since I had trouble with herbal meds they would be in the same boat will try it out later I'm testing another mod I made now

Geez, it's a real pity you can't just create a thingdef with the same name, and just add the one property tag. I guess it can make mod conflicts even worse when you end up with a thingdef comprising many different mod's property tags.

hey, not to be a complainer or anything, but could you please upload the file through some other site?  Adblock is not letting me go through and the ads are not good ads. :)

I agree as well I have on that side of it just don't click any on the man page just click on skip at the top you will be fine + it supports me and makes me want to get out here and make better mods for you guys and have the best rim world gameplay possible that you like.

my bad I thought I turned off the setting for stop pop up blocker you should be able to get though no problem.if you still have issues let me know.

That file has the various individual items in there, so you would have to add stackLimit to every medical item. If you just modify ResourceBase, you can make the modification only the once.

It won't apply to ArtilleryShell and Component, though, although you could just delete their stackLimit entries and use the one on ResourceBase if you wanted.

Sweet thanks for tip was able to fix med stacking will be uploading a new version to fix that and hyperweave stacking

since you guys helped me out with i have been working on another mod that will let plant trees in hydroponics basins, but after i mod the ThingsDefs_plants files for the trees to have hydroponic growing and test it the pawn will plant it but then start to cut it forever. any ideas

I might be wrong, but instead of replacing so many default defs (and then have to check/update for every patch), you can use this cool experimental mod to just create override def's with just <stackLimit>.  https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=22763.msg247444#msg247444

brings me to adfly.. which loads an ad.. then prompted to skip ad.. pop-up appears which usually is the download, but in this instance it brings me to another ad.

Up-to-date Windows Defender doesn't find any viruses etc in either .zip file.  Windows Defender also doesn't (to my knowledge) look for potential threats - it just looks for known threats.

@OP, why would you use Adfly?  That's a major turn off to most of your potential users.

Granted I haven't been an active member around here long enough to know how things get handled around here. But am I the only one who's a bit surprised an Admin hasn't dealt with this already. Enough people feel:
a) that it's not downloading properly
b) it's uploaded to a PITA file host for no good reason
c) it could possibly malware according to a recent post (not confirmed) (what I can say for sure is, referring to milon's post, Windows Defender alone is not enough to say for sure if it is or not)
d) this has been handled poorly by the uploader / that the whole thing feels generally shady
e) the uploader isn't listening to feedback from users (clearly they are aware of what user's are saying, as they have been active in this thread / recently edited their original post)

I've downloaded the all the files available and they definitely do not contain viruses, this is the second time I've heard this false accusation in the couple weeks I've visited this forum.  The mods only contain xml files which can be opened with any text editor and anyone can plainly see, technically literate or not, that they are simple def edits.  I highly doubt a virus in xml form even exists, it sounds ridiculous.  Also, if anyone is relying on windows defender to detect malware, they probably have far greater issues than malicious mods.

That being said, I have played games in the past where mod authors prefrered to use adfly as it was a way for them to make a few cents for their efforts, but that type of thing doesn't seem very common here.  I didn't mind supporting an author of a mod I liked to use by viewing an add for 10 seconds, but if it is frowned upon on this forum then it probably isn't the best idea to use adfly. 

In any case, if you are interested in this mod which I can assure you is not malicious.  To download it simply disable adblocker from working on adfly and you should have no issues, or wait for the author to change the download link.

Super Stacks is incompatible with Quantum storage mod after re-loading a quicksave. The some parts of walls, production tables, items disappear.

I wasn't trying to make that accusation on my behalf, merely restating what was said just before me. So let's keep that as just the 1 person who said that. I, like some others, wasn't able to successfully download this mod, so I can't speak for the file. But one thing to keep in mind, a trojan can in fact be hidden inside an XML file, just a head's up. Also, if the file being downloaded comes inside of an archive, well that's a super-easy way of spreading malware. User opens archive and they are instantly infected. However I take others words for it that this isn't the case here.

And I'm okay with someone making a little scratch here and there for their work. But it really isn't fair to the users who are taking those extra steps, which in turn provides the author that revenue, but then are unable to receive the file.

Whether or not that's true, the hosting site is definitely super sketchy. It had one of those bait-and-switch download links, where they attempt to get you to download other software. This is always malware, while often it's the type of stuff that attempts to reset your search engine, modify your registry, and send you to websites you don't want to go to, that stuff is really annoying, and sometimes hard to get rid of.  I don't know why we are discussing this further. That hosting site is bad.

Thing is, the files are hosted on dropbox, which is fine, its that OP insists to use the sketchy site to get that ad revenue
