Cremation Chamber



Description:

This mod is intended to simplify corpse disposal by giving the colonists a quick and clean method of dealing with excess bodies.

How to use:

It is a crafting table. It disposes of bodies.

How to install:
- Unzip the contents and place them in your RimWorld/Mods folder.
- Activate the mod in the mod menu in the game.

Can we get a counter to tell how many bodies we've cremated?

Can you also have it set so that you can choose who gets cremated or what?  So no animals, or colonists, just raiders.  I want to bury my colonist buddies, and burn the raiders.  But then again, having a hundred graves is nice, it's like saying "Hey raiders, look at all these people I killed, you sure you want to attack?"

Yes. It's a crafting table that crafts corpses into nothing. You can choose the "ingredients" in the bill.

Now if only you could stack ashes more than 75.  Hmm.  What if you actually made ashes into a usable ingredient? xD  An ash chair or ash table.  Eat off the dead. xD  It'd be a nice looking object but take a lot of compressed ashes.  It's just a thought is all.  I think a can of ashes (stackable to 75 like normal I suppose) would be one good byproduct though.  You could include a double version in the download or let people choose which version to download. (craft to nothing) or (craft to ashes) in the main post.  xP

Oh, thought of something you could do with those ashes.  Make ash tiles with it, just like dirt tiles but grey, taking maybe 3 to 5 ashes, and possibly even have a 1.25x boost to items growing there.  Not sure about the boost completely, but a grey ash tile could be interesting.  :P  So you can dump the ashes.  Just another thought is all.

the only Thing I could think to use the ash for is to put/dump them into an (not sure but its Minneslund in swedish)
but its like an well of some kind where one burries the dead or let the ash be spread in.
like an traditional grave except there is no tombstone, the dead is ether by order stored in an jar in the "well" or his/her ash are spread out in the well,
I will say this as its now Just burn the corps to ash and leave it is in many cultures not accepted way to treat the dead, you need to do some kind of ceremony after like spreading it out in the sea or from the top of the mountains (let it fly whit the wind) or buried it in marked place.

Not sure if you knew. I've been playing with the mod installed and I never had to research it in order to build it. I just added <ResearchPrerequisite>CorpseDisposal</ResearchPrerequisite> to the Building XML and it fixed it

need help, after i update... i cant burn the dead body...my colony cant haul the body... i cant right click the body before and after i research it. and if we need research it first, why it still appear in furniture tab before it. thks

While it's a great idea, i usually just lob a molotov at my mass graves, purges dem pretty sweet, for those who don't know.

I do think it'd be fun to create ash from the dead bodies, to make ash like products for more beauty.  But I don't see how me wanting to bury colonists and burn enemies makes me want ash or makes me creepy or anything.

I think if you click the colonists' corpses and set them to not be interacted with they won't be cremated.

That or simply limit the AoE radius so it doesn't reach your graves. Just put a low priority dumping area next to the chambers.

This isn't a bug, this is just poor corpse management.  ;)
