Title: Do voters want to turn farms into Alcoholic Rehabilitation Clinics?
Post by: buttflexspireling on August 24, 2016, 07:33:28 PM
I mean, having Alcoholic Rehabilitation Clinics negotiate alcoholic fines for little or no money down in exchange for work done on farms may seem nice for the less wealthy but what are the democrats really after? Breathalyzer tests for all? A traffic cop in every classroom? Keeping victims of discrimination off the streets? Who knows?

Forgive my off-handed knowledge here as I dont know what bill/law you are referring too but I do know little something about economic agriculture. Farming DOESNT make money. The government needs to subsidies farms to stay in business because if farms go out of business than you lose your food. Lose your food and you have to import. If you have to import than you are losing money. Farms need working hands to tend to the fields. If I had to wager, It would be better worth to have a person work on a farm for 10-30 hours community service than have them pay a nominal fine. Thats my hypothesis anyway. maybe its just as benign as trying to get people to appreciate the opportunity to work off their debt to society. *shrug*
