This mod is in a WIP phase, so it's soon release-able ;).
It will add some stuff like apparel, weapons, furniture and factions to the game, which are based on the ancient world. This means Romans, Celts and so on.
At the moment there is a bunch of furniture, some armor, a bit of classic art and a lamp. And there is a faction, based on the Roman Legion. Also there is some stuff, that add the feeling of the Roman/Greek way of Life.
Note:
- some armors have more than one color, which both are random generated. This feature is done with Faction Colors (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=27459.0) by Cpt.Ohu. This is a requirement.
- Now there is a new feature: wine, which is fermented in a barrel like beer. This requires Universal Fermenter (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=33398.0) by Kubouch.

If someone has ideas to new ancient features, he/she is welcome to tell it. I would also welcome if somebody has some courage to take part on this mod, like as an artist to draw a few items or as a coder to define them. :)
Oh looks nice. Perhaps you could also add some era appropriate hair styles too?

Also can you make some sort of like Ancient Forge for the armor? Getting unlocked the Fueled Smithy when using the Medieval Mod means they stick it in like the colonial era. So I don't want to have to go all the way there to unlock it. Alternatively i guess the crafting spot would work. But a new Ancient Forge for your mod would be better.

Noted. Your ideas will be considered.
But I take care of the Obelisk later, in the planed "Desert" part of Ancient Rim, as an Egyptian sculpture. And double klinais didn't exist in reality.

Well I cannot seem to get the faction color mod to work. Which is why it would be nice if it was either integrated into your mod or a separate version without it.
I cannot update FC for my own, because I'm lacking the required skill to do that. But actually there is a AR version which don't contains the FC features to get it independent.

Noticed. But my plan was to create 3 separate mods: Mediterranean, which contains Rome and Greece, maybe Cartago, Dessertous, which contains Egypt, Persia, Nubia, Arabia and so on and Barbarian, which contains the Germanic tribes, Gaul, Britain and other "northern" cultures. Actually I'm obviously at the Mediterranean part, where the last improvements are in work. And here I lack also in ideas.

What's new?
I did more sieging stuff, reworked floors and made mew metals, I short. The change log isn't actualized, because the mod went to the release section. But I keep this topic open, because there will be at least two mods in future, as a mod series.
Cool! Is the Egyptian one going to be one of those?
Does it matter if I mix Egypt and Persia together, like I did with Rome and Greece? But yes, it's one of those.

Plans yes, but not the coding skill or a FC compatible framework :(
I was thinking about a workaround :
shield and sword as one item, which puts the abilities of both into one slot.
This would include a lot of possible recipies, if you think about it, but could at least work.
Also wasn't there a shield mod for A15 or A16 ? .. maybe you could look at that
Sword and shield as one item.. This is a very good idea! Tomorrow I'll start to translate this into action. FC allows colored weapons, so the red legionaries have red shields too, same with the green. ;D
