Description

You want to remember what you were up to when you last played RimWorld?
Honour special pawns, but waiting on random art descriptions is just too tedious?
Or just leave future-you a note?
This mod makes all this and more possible!

Signage and memorials in all colours of the rainbow! (Disclaimer: not all colours are included in the standard packaging, no other packaging available)

Download

You can either download all versions directly from the GitHub Releases (https://github.com/KiitoX/RimWorld-Signs_and_Memorials/releases/latest) page or you can use the Steam Workshop (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=846276095), if you prefer that.

Notes

This mod should not conflict with any other mods, it should also be safe to add it to existing worlds.

Hi, I know this is kind of ,,dead topic'', but I'll try. I've got a problem with the mod, when I put the sign in front of my colony and then save the game, it won't load again. After normal half a minute loading (after the ,,Spawning things...'') it will display ,,Generating planet...'' (as if you would press ,,World'' in-game) and then it's just ,,greyscreen'' (I can't say blackscreen, becouse it's actualy grey) and I have to force-close RimWorld, becouse I'm unable to do anything. Thanks for all help. I would really want signs back to my game. :) PS : I still play on A17 (Please, don't kill me for that, I've got my reasons).

Which version are you using? If you're playing on A17 then you should use the A17 version. If you don't have it, you can get all versions from the github release page:

I wanted to help but what it came down to was he was once he placed a sign in game and then saved the game, the save is then broken. I figured it was possibly due to an incompatibility.

Simstu, do you have any errors?

That's the problem. My game doesn't want to show error logs. :/

Just downloaded from github, the zip file is empty.......

Got it working, apparently you absolutely have to open it with an unzipping program.

Hey, you seem like you might be new to the world of modding. Maybe give this a shot, it could have some resources or pointers in there to help you out https://rim-world.com/guides/how-to-install-mods/ There's some other good stuff in that site to help you get started!

Howdy y'all!

I went ahead and forked this, fixed this, and ported this, because it was causing save corruption on the 1.0 version and the fix contributed by the author last September missed the underlying cause of the error.  (Anyone who knows me knows that I will sooner allow a project to fester and die than to roll back scope.  It's the reason why I have left behind a litany of vapourware...)

Long story short, I grew up in a-- I mean, a fixed 1.0 version and a 1.1 port can be downloaded directly from https://github.com/jtgibson01/RimWorld-Signs_and_Memorials

1.1 has a few memorials now.  I haven't ported the features of this mod onto vanilla memorials.  Yes, it's less relevant in 1.1 -- but then, I only ported for the benefit of 1.0 anyway, and a port-up to 1.1 was mostly an afterthought. ;-)  The upgrade has also been offered to the original author's repository as a pull request, since I have little or no intention of maintaining this.  Anyone else can pick up the ball anytime they like. =)

I didnt know vanilla added memorials. still, i will redownload this mod. cheers
