Title: Succession game: The Last Chancers
Post by: johiah on March 21, 2017, 05:34:11 PM
The Last Chancers was a game I started a couple months ago. A friend of mine and I realized a succession game would be fun. This is the madness that resulted.

Rules:
First turn was two years, all subsequent turns will be 30 days.
Cassandra Intense
No ruining the game intentionally
Take screenshots and update frequently
Wait your turn
Don't finish the game in any way unless everyone is getting bored.

Mods:
EPOE
Mending: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=735241569 (Not being able to repair weapons that are somehow damaged after your colonist jumps into fire is unrealistic.)
Mad skills - Tiered: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=731111356 (I would not have this except he removed skills locking at 20. People don't simply forget how to build a floor.)
Tiberium Rim: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=868415092 (Because I had it installed and now can't remove it since tiberium items are currently on map.)
HugsLib: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=818773962 (Because you need it for Tiberium Rim)

If you want to play just post, naming requests allowed of the current player via PM.

Finished Players:
Johiah (Me) First two years. Built the groundwork of the first base, trained up colonists, survived, did some research, and installed some bionics.
Note: People were getting stoned before doing surgery. I banned the use of smokeleaf for recreation.

Upcoming Players:
Ninjadiscojew

For some reason I am unable to post with attachments.
Ok, this posted so I will edit this one.
Included are pictures of the colony, we have 2 alpacas and 2 huskies, a large swarm of muffalos, (pls no kill), and chickens. There were more but they got killed in a raid. Only 2 chickens survived.
Attachments below.
Had to use dropbox, still couldn't attach files.

For some reason the computer I am currently using decides to randomly shut off, without saving. Will add story tonight. Ninjadiscojew also has the save and will start narrating tonight. (Hopefully)

The journal was found on the ground, scuffed and marked, next to a corpse. All pictures have been scrubbed out.

Journal Entry Number 1, Johiah Marx
So this is it. We are really here. Today the three of us named our colony. Me, Sarai, and Chardies.
They elected me the overseer of The Last Chancers, and so I got to work attempting to make sure we could survive.

We had opened up an old structure and moved everything inside, ignoring the people sleeping in caskets.
Once everything was inside we put up a door.
We built a couple beds, and started work on a freezer.
Chardies got to work planting crops.

Journal Entry Number 2

Been a while, almost 2 seasons. Some people attacked, we captured one and convinced him to join us.

We now have a freezer and a way to make power, and Sarai has been making stone blocks for us to build with.

Journal Entry Number 3

Some numbskull keeps running by and ripping pages from my journal, so I will stop keeping records for now.

Journal Entry Number 4

Oh no. Today someone died.
And it's my fault.
Some muffalos decided to attack us and they bashed down a door.
With the time we had, most of us picked up rifles while Kathrin and I picked up melee weapons. We fought side by side, holding back the swarm so the others could kill them.
Only one muffalo was left, and it bashed Kathrin with its head, caving in her ribs.
We built her a crypt, but its my fault.
I should have defended her.
I can't handle this. Someone else will have to oversee. Van could.
I am going back to my cooking.

For those of you who may or may not be wondering:
This is NOT dead.
Ninjadiscojew simply plans on releasing one or two massive updates, as well as rl stuff interfering.

About time.
Also, rule change: Turns are 30 days not 1 year.

So, to recap:
You killed my third favorite colonist, the one with like 16 growing.
You dissed me,
you dissed my wife.
And the one of the dogs died.
Nice.
How are the chickens and/or muffalos doing?
