*** THIS IS NOT A "CUTE" MOD, SMURFS ARE NOT AS CUTE AS YOU THINK***

BACKSTORY:
The Smurfs are a species blue humanoids that lives in mushroom-shaped houses in the forest, usually led by Papa Smurf. The smurf-mmunity in their village are always cooperative, sharing and kind environments for every Smurfs living there. While popular myths had always portrayed the Smurfs as being repressed and violently suppressed by the "Evil" Wizard Gargamel, the stories turned out to be misinformation and fake news propagated by Smurfs-sympathizers.

The forgotten truth is that Gargamel was actually the archwizard of a long forgotten kingdom, that was sent by the King himself to fight and eradicate the "Blue Threat". Hundreds upon thousands of peasants had been mercilessly murdered by a never seen before blue-skinned humanoid monsters, although no bigger than a house cat. What was later known to be Smurfs, had an incredible rate of reproductions and their kind spreads like wildfire. Their cute and innocent appearance hides the fiercely territorial nature of these magical creatures. The smurfs had became so powerful during the time of Gargamel, that the Smurfs declared all out war against the archwizard's Kingdom. All that stand between the Smurfs and the destruction of the Kingdom, was Gargamel the Great himself.

It was during this period of great calamity that Gargamel made the greatest discovery about the Smurfs: their body contains an unique liquid that can be found no where else, and that it had great life-saving abilities when it is combined with medical herbs. The usage of the magic potion extracted from the Smurfs brought about an revolution in the medical world and Gargamel was regarded as the greatest healer of his time after he made the discovery. However, as the only person in the Kingdom, to be able to subdue the "Blue Threat"; along with the fact that the discovery of this new highly sought after commodity resulted in the a Royal decree that restricts any information about the source of the potion to be leaked – Gargamel was condemned to a life in a run-down hovel, with his mangy cat Azrael, deep in the dark forest on the outskirt of this Kingdom.

The fiercely loyal Gargamel dedicated his final few decades of his life to his King, keeping the population of Smurfs to just 1 village – while constantly "milking" the excess smurfs, to be readied for the weekly horse carriage that arrives to delivers the precious potions to the capital. The Kingdom became rich and powerful, being the sole producer of the rare potion; while at the edge of the Kingdom, Gargamel gets old and senile; often heard cursing at the Smurfs by passing travellers. Gargamel was eventually slain by Papa Smurf after Gargamel fell into an ambush in one of his daily smurfs culling. Azrael died beside him as the old cat was surrounded and bashed to death by numerous Smurfs. The Smurfs then went into hibernation for centuries in wait for a time where the humans are weaker, and thus they can rise again.

Eventually the young and rich populace in subsequent generations conveniently forget about Gargamel's lifelong sacrifice, while sinister underground organisations started their misinformation campaign to cast Gargamel as the evil wizard that captures cute smurfs as an magical ingredient to make gold, for some unknown political reasons. As for the magic potion, it was later renamed as __u__oa__n_ by one of the brand strategist of the government-owned corporation of the new republic, tasked to manage and sell the remaining stock of potions that was stashed during the time of Gargamel. Today, the Corporation remains to be the only seller of _e__r__mi_e in the entire galaxy; and they are still selling exclusively from Gargamel's depleting stockpile, as the Smurfs were never found since, and all artificial means of reproducing the ingredient had failed.

THE MOD:
Walking Problem Studios brings yet another popular cute franchise into RimWorld: The SmurfeRim Mod!

The SmurfeRim brings the cute blue Smurfs into the world of RimWorld.

You can either help bring the lost Smurfette, back together again with the Smurfs and Papa Smurf – and all live happily ever after under your roof....

OR you will need to face the ancient threat that had once faced by Gargamel the Great – eradicating the "Blue Threat" / Smurfestation before they get out of hand....

OR you can resume the role of Gargamel the Evil Wizard, to contain and farm these blue creatures of their "magic potion", to bring health and happiness to the galaxy.

P.S: Beware! If you suddenly feeling super good and happy for no apparent reason deep in the woods, you might had wandered right into a Smurf Village.

FEATURES:
– The Smurfs will be the only way you can acquire an important ingredient you always need, but can never produce
– Smurfestations Events are extremely dangerous, never look down on the Smurfs
– Papa Smurfs are tough, and their numbers often corresponds exactly as per the number of Smurf Villages there are on the map (on Rough difficulty, will be more or less depends on your difficulty settings)
– Smurfs from Smurfestations cannot be tamed, they had pledged a lifetime of hatred for you.
– The only smurfs that can be tamed are the "good smurfs" that we know from the movies and cartoons
– The tame-able smurfs will wander into the map occasionally
– If you want to reproduce smurfs, take note: there is only 1 female Smurf, and its Smurfette.
– Smurfette may wander into your colony, and if you missed her, you may not see her again for a long long time
– Papa Smurfs will not have sex with Smurfette, so forget about that kinky thought.
– Blue Meat. Period.
– Blue Skin/Leather. Period.
– Smurfs breeds really quickly and are ideal in form your dispensable blue army!
– But to have your own smurf army... you need Smurfette.

Nope, for 2 reasons:

1) This is not that kind of mod. LOL~ But they breed very very quickly (faster than Minions) - but that is if you are able to catch Smurfette at the first place~

If you remember the cartoon well, Smurfs are actually not very tame-able. They have free will and were constantly fighting against the human - Gargamel

2) They are too small to actually do any hauling. And if I make them able to do work, the mod may become too similar to Minions mod. But if you insist, you can PM me, and I give you the line of code you can put into the xml file that will make them work (you will need to Minions mod for it to work)

I secretly smurfed a smurf mod after watching the Smurfs movie at the smurfing cinema. So I had been smurfing this smurfy mod over the weekend and finally released it earlier today.

Its a smurific mod that you must try! The mod wants you to smurf the smurf out of all the smurfs!

Just a question, can these smurf survive on very cold biomes. Winter colder then -50 C or do they just appear at warmer biomes ?

Maybe a light blue Icesmurf mutation for Ice biomes ? :-)

The smurfs can do -20 to 50 C

But I not sure what will happen, the only way to know is you trying it to find out.  Because it is not possible for me to test every single scenario possible - so actually, I'm just as in the dark as to how they will react. =P

Does they have a specific modded meat or a vanilla meat ? (vanilla meat have more value for the trading with Phi)
In each case i will try this mod for see how they resist to the zergs invasions ^^ (araknid mod)

hem, wait, smurf INVASION ? I hope this is not like the megaspiders infestation !

last time i've need to burn an full jungle map (modded for more plants) for just safe my colony of them, just wow !

and for the smurf, their invasion are directly into the base like megaspiders or not ?

There is 2 different incidents for Smurfs.

One is just a manhunting-like event, the other one is the special one, which is like infestation, but out in the open~

I never tried any rework on the infestation. But I can tell you, the smurfs are very aggressive and territorial~

Female smurfs are not natural. Smurfette was created by Gargamel then Papa Smurf used his magic to make her a  "real smurf".
I dont know how close to cannon you want to make this mod. but maybe look into different asexual ways for smurfs to reproduce.  They live in mushrooms. Maybe they are a type of sentient fungus.  I dont think there was ever a hard answer to smurf reproduction. But im no smurf expert.

You mean Smurfs are related to Orkz ?

I had the Smurf Mod in A16 in Combination with the reworked infestation, they did not influence each other.
I think Smurfestation spawned as intended.

By right, the only event where Smurfette will spawn is in the Smurfette wanders in event. So if there is other incidents that she appear, please do let me know.

But I do understand ppl found smurfettes for sale in caravans/orbital traders

Smurfestation runs entirely on its own codes, thus it will not have conflict with other infestation-related mods.

Real funny but dangerous mod ! :-))
I lost my 1. colony because i didn't take them seriously. I let them build their villages and though oh nice they grow devilstrand at the desert. Later i notice i got holes in my outer walls and serveral resources around the map next to mountains. Visitor mention i got insects on my map (scratch the head).

After that i realize they are a real threat, they are an infestion, they dig mountains and walls, they don't like to get move close to their villages.
New movie idea Smurfs vs Zombies, Smurfs vs Aliens :-)
But at this stage i allready got 80+ villages on my map, and not the firepower to destroy them faster then they pop up.

At the 2. one i got a village next to my base. I build 2 turrets in range so they kill spawning smurfs pretty well. And i could deconst torches and destroy new villages without much danger.

My suggestion:
- New torches spawn too fast, you can deconst. them very easy and geting 20 wood, excelent wood source on biomes with less/no trees. Maybe just 1 torch check/spawn once at 0:00 or slower.

- new villages spawn and spawn, and smurfs got nothing to eat.
I think you are just a XML modder, maybe someone can help you with that. But maybe you can give them a new economy. Smurfs need to gather food from plantmaterial, corpses and other food items. Each item decrease the counter to spawn a new village.
At this way smurfs will grow very fast on forest, but never on desert/ice.

LOL~ Which is why in my description of the mod, I told ppl to be careful.

As for the getting smurfs to find food to eat... They actually cannibalize themselves if I'm not wrong. lol~

And no, this is not a xml mod, because the infestation codes cannot be adapted to any other creatures. To create an infestation-type game mechanic, one need to create totally new codes (cannot be shared with vanilla Infestation).

Currently there is no plans to expand on the mod, since its just a fun mod, and it rewards the risk taking of the players to keep the smurfs around with all the resources the smurfs provides (be it drugs or devilstrand or wood). You can look at them as creatures to "farm", like the Infestation bugs (which also do not really "eat" or "find food")

Alternatively, is I can add edible mushroom to be spawned next to their villages.

Why not ?

And if the tamed version of the smurfs somehow become similiar to the minions there would be a good reason for having the annoying blue suckers around.

And to expand on my brain-fart from a few days ago. If Smurfs really are mycellium based creatures, similiar to the 40k Gretchins and Orkz .. you could combine both creatures and Smurfs become 40k Lore  ;D ( gamma radiated smurfs maybe .. just to steal from a third lore )
So if you have Smurfs and a Toxic Fallout event you literally get Bigga Problemz.

As proof of my theory there is the Ork saying of "Red Unz go Fasta" ! which could be a genetic memory of Papa Smurfs.

Downloaded this Smurftastic piece of work just to have a play about with it. I installed it, activated it, forgot I had Zombieland installed... Ended up with a Smurf/Zombie infestation... had to install the DOOM Kit to BFG the smurf out of everything...

11 out of 10, would Zombie-Smurf again...

It sounds a lot like the TiberiumRim combo, where all the smurfs turns into the visceroids~

I think you forget a temp. check for Smurf invasion.
They just invaded my map at -40C, but they only got a temp toleranz for -20C.

BACKSTORY:
The Smurfs are a species blue humanoids that lives in mushroom-shaped houses in the forest, usually led by Papa Smurf. The smurf-mmunity in their village are always cooperative, sharing and kind environments for every Smurfs living there. While popular myths had always portrayed the Smurfs as being repressed and violently suppressed by the "Evil" Wizard Gargamel, the stories turned out to be misinformation and fake news propagated by Smurfs-sympathizers.

The forgotten truth is that Gargamel was actually the archwizard of a long forgotten kingdom, that was sent by the King himself to fight and eradicate the "Blue Threat". Hundreds upon thousands of peasants had been mercilessly murdered by a never seen before blue-skinned humanoid monsters, although no bigger than a house cat. What was later known to be Smurfs, had an incredible rate of reproductions and their kind spreads like wildfire. Their cute and innocent appearance hides the fiercely territorial nature of these magical creatures. The smurfs had became so powerful during the time of Gargamel, that the Smurfs declared all out war against the archwizard's Kingdom. All that stand between the Smurfs and the destruction of the Kingdom, was Gargamel the Great himself.

It was during this period of great calamity that Gargamel made the greatest discovery about the Smurfs: their body contains an unique liquid that can be found no where else, and that it had great life-saving abilities when it is combined with medical herbs. The usage of the magic potion extracted from the Smurfs brought about an revolution in the medical world and Gargamel was regarded as the greatest healer of his time after he made the discovery. However, as the only person in the Kingdom, to be able to subdue the "Blue Threat"; along with the fact that the discovery of this new highly sought after commodity resulted in the a Royal decree that restricts any information about the source of the potion to be leaked – Gargamel was condemned to a life in a run-down hovel, with his mangy cat Azrael, deep in the dark forest on the outskirt of this Kingdom.

The fiercely loyal Gargamel dedicated his final few decades of his life to his King, keeping the population of Smurfs to just 1 village – while constantly "milking" the excess smurfs, to be readied for the weekly horse carriage that arrives to delivers the precious potions to the capital. The Kingdom became rich and powerful, being the sole producer of the rare potion; while at the edge of the Kingdom, Gargamel gets old and senile; often heard cursing at the Smurfs by passing travellers. Gargamel was eventually slain by Papa Smurf after Gargamel fell into an ambush in one of his daily smurfs culling. Azrael died beside him as the old cat was surrounded and bashed to death by numerous Smurfs. The Smurfs then went into hibernation for centuries in wait for a time where the humans are weaker, and thus they can rise again.

Eventually the young and rich populace in subsequent generations conveniently forget about Gargamel's lifelong sacrifice, while sinister underground organisations started their misinformation campaign to cast Gargamel as the evil wizard that captures cute smurfs as an magical ingredient to make gold, for some unknown political reasons. As for the magic potion, it was later renamed as __u__oa__n_ by one of the brand strategist of the government-owned corporation of the new republic, tasked to manage and sell the remaining stock of potions that was stashed during the time of Gargamel. Today, the Corporation remains to be the only seller of _e__r__mi_e in the entire galaxy; and they are still selling exclusively from Gargamel's depleting stockpile, as the Smurfs were never found since, and all artificial means of reproducing the ingredient had failed.

FEATURES:
– The Smurfs will be the only way you can acquire an important ingredient you always need, but can never produce
– Smurfestations Events are extremely dangerous, never look down on the Smurfs
– Papa Smurfs are tough, and their numbers often corresponds exactly as per the number of Smurf Villages there are on the map (on Rough difficulty, will be more or less depends on your difficulty settings)
– Smurfs from Smurfestations cannot be tamed, they had pledged a lifetime of hatred for you.
– The only smurfs that can be tamed are the "good smurfs" that we know from the movies and cartoons
– The tame-able smurfs will wander into the map occasionally
– If you want to reproduce smurfs, take note: there is only 1 female Smurf, and its Smurfette.
– Smurfette may wander into your colony, and if you missed her, you may not see her again for a long long time
– Papa Smurfs will not have sex with Smurfette, so forget about that kinky thought.
– Blue Meat. Period.
– Blue Skin/Leather. Period.
– Smurfs breeds really quickly and are ideal in form your dispensable blue army!
– But to have your own smurf army... you need Smurfette.
