I can't wait to build an underwater base. I just hope Tynan doesn't screw it up, and abandons the idea.

On a sidenote: Yeah, that's a bit of a messed up location for the ship.

Are you using any mods? iirc this bug was caused by one of the mods which made ocean passable.
