Title: [Request] Fear Tech 2

Its been a while since I visited this forum... too busy in Uni.  :'(

I'd like to request for further developments of  Fear Tech. I got bored with the Gibbet cage and it seems like my colonists have gotten used to dead bodies displayed near the dinner table.

Some suggestions:
- head on a stick
- fences ...with severed limbs
- moat blood(?)
- head tropies(?) of humans and animals

please add defThoughts in them to increase the fear. TY.

Its not actually even slightly difficult to do XD Just very few people play the fear way :P

What architect said! I very rarely even use gibbet cages.

Happiness can be shared, as in "everybody is happy, all is well."
Fear needs a single target, as in "all of you fear me, all is well." Therefore, to play the fear game, there needs to be a designated leader for the other colonists to fear. The one 'setting the example' by having gibbet cages etc. Currently, Rimworld doesn't seem to be running in this direction.

It's a good direction to expand towards, though.

yeah id like to see Fear Tech get improved more, because right now i don't really see any Pro's and Con's to using fear/happiness, we could expect a fear tech update someday maybe.

Yea, but it's darn easy in the late game. What with the hordes and hordes of raiders.

There's also the issue of "corpses rotting and being removed from map" update Tynan added recently would make gibbet cages require reloads. Wait, would it? Would corpses in gibbet cages rot and disappear? Secondly, should it?

Well you could add a new gibit cage with a buildin death corpse...;)

Fear is harder to implement than happines, since you can influaence happines by <beauty>, for fear you need to make new defs in deftoughs and i think in something else.
And i play as evil lord makes game easier :D

But I would definitely make things very interesting. Usually I put gibbet cages at barricades because  the new barbed wire fence just kills my colonists. They are also better than sandbags/stones as outfield obstacles. plus you get to scare your enemies with it lowering their morals.

It'd be too boring if what we're always gonna have is lovey-wubbleyness. I'd torture my prisoners with conveyer belts  filled with uranium wastes if that would increase fear.

ps. Fear lowers loyalty threshold.

Lol i did that last night, it was fun! i miss playing!! lets work together on this mod then?

Just for others peoples knowledge we are working on this, may take a while but keep your ideas coming :)
