Has anyone come out with a stun mod yet? I've been looking through the forums and didn't see anything. Would love to be able to greatly increase my number of colonists.

no one made any stun guns and stun rods yet,
im working on it BTW.
but there is a non lethal turret

My mod has a hand stunner*, but it's not all that's in my mod so it will take a little work to collect several of them.

If there was demand for it, I could make a stand-alone mod with hand stunner, tasers, rubber bullet weapons, flashbangs and stuff. That'd be like a 2-day project, really.

Thank you both for the quick response... I really need to bust open the code and look at how these mods are made. I just hate getting attacked by over a hundred raiders and not coming away with a single prisoner.

Well, if you want to know how to do turrets and weapons, you can crack open mine. Pick it apart, PM me if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help. It'll show you how to do sound arrays too, which was confusing for me even though it's really simple.

Important thing to note, while I have the stun damage type assigned my hand stunner, it doesn't work perfectly. Tynan pointed out at some point that custom damage types don't really work properly in Alpha 3F, in Alpha 4 custom damage will work fine though, so stun weapons will be better.

While I worked on my mod I used next type of damage:

<DamageTypeDef>
      <defName>Stun</defName>
      <incapChanceMultiplier>100</incapChanceMultiplier>
    <externalViolence>true</externalViolence>
   </DamageTypeDef>

Tried to add area damage to weapon with that dmg type - all pawns in area were stunned every shot, so just try it.

hey just wanted to let u know there is a mod that is updated called NON-LETHAL turret    they work just as named and well
