Custom Death Randomness
Description:Custom Death Randomness is based off of Mazacik's "Less Death Randomness" and "No Death Randomness."
When a pawn is downed, it has a 67% chance to be killed, animals have a 47% chance.
As the title suggests, I've included mod settings that allow you to choose what these value should be; setting options are for both pawns and animals.
It's possible to set these value to 100%, which might make an interesting game in itself.
Notes:Instead of the original injects/detours, I've used a Harmony prefix that does not run the original method unless null values are detected in any of the entry variables.
Tested with "Death Rattle" mod and I haven't found any incompatibility issues, though I don't know why it would since both mods patch different methods.
Safe to use on existing games.

LicenseFree to use however you want.
The best solution to circumvent death mans apparel ;D
I would absolutely use the non-steam version.

Hah, I guess that's a not so subtle hint to post the mod outside of steam. ;)
I'll post it to moddb when I get home from work tonight.
You guessed absolutely right.
Subtlety is none of my many talents.
Thank you in adavance.
Nice work! :-) HugsLib didn't exist back when I made the mod, thus it was difficult figuring out and fixing compatibility issues and keeping up with updates. I also don't play Rimworld nearly as much anymore. Next time I do a playthrough, this mod will certainly be a part of it.
Thanks Mazacik!
Also, posted to modDB, link added above.

No files there. Only main mod page.
Can confirm that no files are listed on the moddb page.
And you should add a B18 tag at the moddb, to reflect it that is for the B18 version.
Also waiting on the file .. ::)
No file
Yeah, sorry about that. It was posted but it looked like it was waiting for authorization. The file should be available now.
And there it is .. thank you
Groovy, thanks! I'll install and test.
Mod deleted. What Da Fak?!
Looks like he couldn't rename the mod and needed to create a new entry with B18 tag.
Try this

It works :D
How could I not have been using this mod sooner?! If I had to guess, I would say this is going to end up on my "must have" list!
With your hugh mod list, you should have other better ways to capture wanted raiders.
Vampire, pain stick&gun, Anestaetic gun.
Except you want be a slaver, and sell the whole raid or demand ransom.
But it's always the recruitable ones that die in Vanilla,
while the survivors are always those you would not even want to harvest organs from just in case their stats are contagious.

Bwahaha, you know me too well! I plan on using the pain stick & gun, and anesthetic gun for my jailers for watching over prisoners/slaves. I just don't feel right having my soldiers equipped with one of those. But now that I think about it, maybe I will have the "combat medics" carry one of them as a side arm.

Oh you mean you don't want the the ugly abrasive gay sheriff who's got a bad back from going brokeback too much?
Hey! Is there any chance for this to be updated to 1.0? I really like the mod!
Can you please upload the 1.0 version to github or attach it here?
I found B19 version on steam workshop but not a direct download link. Could someone post the link to download B19 version or maybe download it from workshop, upload it somewhere and post the link in this thread?

op mentioned on steam 1.0 should work for b19

Should doesn't mean does
I took that comment off, for whatever reason the mod option menu doesn't show up in B19. So for the standard user, it's not going to work.
The actual functionality still works though, and any existing settings are maintained in the mod config file. So if you were using it, and are happy with the settings you had, then you can continue to use the 1.0 version in your B19 game. For those advanced users using it in B19 and want to change the settings, it's still possible to adjust the setting in the mod config file under c:/users/username/AppData/LocalLow/Ludeon Studios/Rimworld.../Config
nonsteam 1.0 link?
