I find in Alpha 4 that the lightning creates a ton of fires which destroy just about all my power sources outside.
It would be great if someone could mod a zone to just clear plants from around an area. They have the cut plants command, but they grow so quickly it would be better if it was just part of their daily duties.

Place concrete under/around your power stuff... Fire dont spread on concrete unless there is something to burn and plants wont grow either... Problem solved, though I would like this to be an option! Keep pruned areas rather than making "grass" beds with concrete/other flooring. Could be the cheaper alternative that just requires more maintenance than flooring.
Yeah, I like this idea. I think this should be in vanilla Rimworld instead of a mod though.
