while gasoline is clear but irl a lot more than just gasoline comes out of processing crude oil

some countries may dye fuel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_dyes

was doing some gradient shenanigans for the chem fuel (or gas, actually is it going to be just oil or chem fuel for this mod) and different tones of red for the barrel.

Though probably should have asked what color scheme you want some of this stuff?

okay just checked back and will change the color. But for now I'm putting the processing bench together. Again this is W.I.P not final, trying to make some pipes for it

Looks Good! That could work just needs side and back textures.

And one thing I noticed is with Camera+ When u zoom way in it get a bit pixelated

Sigh, going to have to redo a lot of it since I started to work on the side. Looks weird and takes a bit too much space. Going to go with one large tank on the end instead of two. Rework pipes. Central console and machinery.

Also I'm drawing it using 64x64 px which is the size of the cell used in game. Converting it to .png pretty much turns the drawing to raster so yes it will be "pixilated". Never used Camera+ and never understood why you would want to zoom in that far considering the graphics of the game.

Camera+ is great for screenshots. And by it got way more pixelated then normal most textures don't get that pixelated not that it's a big deal though. That sucks that you have to redo it but I am sure it will look just as good if not better.

Think you can make a screenshot? That and didn't know you where actually inserting it in Rimworld already. Could be the attach file system, might have to .zip it

Later when I get in-game again I can send one.

*Edit*
Here are some links to two screenshots one at about normal distance and one zoomed. I had to do it this way it said they where too bid to add as attachments.

Hello,

I think adding a shade layer would help.

Wow that looks a little stretched out too.
Also will try to do some shading but for now just working with solid colors

Okay looking at things again while redrawing this the way things are drawn in rimworld are... weird. Each cell in the map is 64x64 pixels. Using this I created a "base" in inkscape by drawing a square that's those dimensions. no outline solid color. Well looking at some of the actual assets used in rimworld that's not really the case. Using walls as another measurement I found that yes it is within the boundary of 64x64 but the detail is smaller due to the outline of it. Inkscape does it differently as the outline will be bigger than the area. So if I wanted the outline to be 3 px then the square would be bigger than the actual cell.

So yeah in short I fucked up.

yeah but man does it grind my gears  ;)

Anyways since I'm messing around with vector imaging I have to throw in some math too to make sure the sizes are kosher

have you made any progress since we last talked?

programs giving me shit, but I'm getting back on track. For some damn reason when I enter in the height/width, whatever it would mess with the other. Other than that I've resized some assets while rebuilding the bench. Might start work on the well soon(ish).

Sorry to say, but I think you should find someone who has more experience. Drawing the bench is just giving me a headache due to the weird perspective of it. I'm better at drawing guns and clothing for pawns than outright buildings. you can however use anything from whats already drawn. Just let me know what you want and I can make a separate .png
