Hey guys,
when starting RimWorld on Steam i get this error:
Failed to initialize Direct3D.
Make sure you have at least DirectX 9.0c installed, have drivers for your
graphics card and have not disabled 3D acceleration
in display settings.
InitializeEngineGraphics failed
I tried multiple gpu drivers, and also reinstalled rimworld, but i keep getting this error. Other games work just fine...
I also checked with dxdiag if there are any issues, but there were none :/
Can you suggest anything, that might fix the issue?
can you supply a BIT more info regarding the computer, ie which operating system, what video card, what cpu, how much ram
now possible things that might help (if windows operating system earlier than 10)
try a 'SFC /scannow', to repair the windows files (includes the directx files),
track down the latest drivers for the video card,
'google dx9 installer'

Windows 10, Xeon E1231 v3, GTX 970, 16GB RAM
latest drivers are installed and i already reinstalled the older directx versions
I'm having the same issue, reinstalled the game several times, reinstalled DX 9c & 11, reinstalled C++ 2008, 2010 & 2015. Nothing works. Game ran fine until i reformatted and updated windows.
