Title: 'Ingredient' selection for butcher task
Post by: Eterm on July 23, 2018, 04:35:41 PM
I love the (new?) "do until X" for butcher, it lets me stockpile corpses which last longer during solar flares, heatwaves, or other times my freezer may fail and also is generally more space efficient.

However, it needs a way to prevent insect meat counting towards "do until X" for butcher task. My colony almost died out because meal production stopped because butchering stopped because there were 200 pieces of insect meat so no-one was butchering!

When making clothes we can filter "only selected ingredients" so for example I can keep making dusters until I have 1 spare "good quality or higher, 80% left or higher, and only panther/rhino".

When butchering however, there is no way to specify not to include every meat type in the count. Even if you turn off "insect corpses" from being butchered, for example, their meat still counts toward the count. I was leaning toward reporting this as a bug but I figure it's currently working "as designed" so this is a suggestion.
