What has happened :
Strangely, all the skills in the "Attribute" board have been suddenly replaced by Shooting ("Tir" in French).
What should happen :
To keep the skills.

I precise it is really annoying, preventing any recruitment due to the lack of information.

When I have launched the game again today, the bug was fixed.
It is maybe linked with a switching from French to English then to French again that I have done yesterday, but without any certainty.
Hello friends,
I've come across an interesting bug in my saves and fresh new games. The Bio Tab is only showing the shooting skill. Also it blocks you to click on any item on the ground. The Tools like giving pawns jobs building, mining, allow stuff and whatelse works. When you open the Bio Tab the game helper window also disappears and only its shadow stays visible. All tool-tip windows show a similar behavior. You cannot draft Colonists for fighting either. It's like there is a seperate Layer inbetween were the pawns act and the mouse, you you never reach down to them. All other functions work as far as I know. You can trade, assign bills, job priorities and the likes. So yeah this is obviously game breaking but I don't know what causes it or how to help with the resolving of the problem, I just wanted to report it.
If you need my savegame I'll provide it for you. If I can find it..
I run the game in German localisation if that matters. Mods deactivated didn't solve the issue for me, so I'd think it was not a mod problem but rather a core problem. Version is Something ending in 2017, whichever was up to date when I posted this.
Good bughunting!
Hi,
i hope you notice the Unstable version are over and the final B19 release got out.
Beside that an error log could be helpful.
When these problem still appear on a new colony without mods, i would suggest to delete the Rimworld folder, together with the config folder which is located somewhere different, reading the sticky can help to locate it.
But when the vanilla new colony runs fine it is prolly a mod problem.
You shouldn't use anylonger the unstable version with latest mod versions. It can work but mosttimes not.
Localisation can made trouble too, some french one reported display trouble, after switching back to engl. and then french again he could play again.
Edit: I just saw there is a new version 19.2017 out which and many mod's need to be updated, since you wrote you are still on unstable.

Yes, and it's me, however you have misunderstood. The double language switching is maybe the cause of the problem, absolutely not the solution.
I have encountered the same issue in the stable version. However, I only had the Bio bug and not the rest of the issues you have described. More information there :

The bug has appeared suddenly and has disappeared when I have relaunch the game.
I am not even sure the save file I have provided shows the problem but I have taken a picture.
I have no certitude about the real cause of the bug.
Two topics on this issue merged.
We're looking for a repro case so if anyone has any idea on how to make this occur that'd be good to hear!
Fixed, thanks.
