Title: [RESOLVED Mod Request] Skip Character Generation Screen
Post by: Eitch on October 22, 2018, 03:57:13 PM
I would like to have a mod that skips over (removes) character generation screen so that player gets "random" colonists.

While I understand you can have a same effect by just immediately skipping it, removing the screen entirely is a good way to restrict temptation to click that reroll button - same reason why Ironman option is so popular although one can technically never choose to savescum.

There's actually mod called Crash Now (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1096693785&searchtext=crash+now) which does exactly what I want (and also offers option to randomize characters and start area), but it unfortunately seems to be abandoned.  :(

IF you want a total random pawn + map, try out the hugslib quickstart feature.

I didn't realize Hugslib offered independent functinality. I'll check it out.

Edit: Found it. Never would have discovered that little icon tucked away on side of dev console otherwise, so thanks!
