Title: [1.0] Milkable Colonists

Makes colonists and prisoners milkable using a drug.

Craft Lact-X at the Drug Lab
Craft Lact-MAX at the Drug Lab for permanent lactation
Compatible with pregnancy mods
Modifiers for mod that adds breast sizes
Does not work on animals.

Safe to add to saves
(A new drug policy is required for it to add Lact-X)

I have now figured out how to add conditional patches to allow for items from other mods to be added as a milkable produce, so items from other mods that aren't in the parent mod are now fair game.

Considering there are a lot of virtual canibals, hat makers and slavers in this forum, my guess this mod will be abused.  ;D
Legit survival strategy for ice sheet though. Would be even better if the milk gives buff, instead of vanilla cow milk. Pasteurized Milk recipe could be useful for tribal playthrough.

Drug should also work on male pawns, they still have nipples, just because they can't lactate naturally doesn't mean it couldn't be induced with drugs.

AFAIK they are humans with an added trait/hediff so should be compatible, let me know if they aren't :)

Would it be possible to eventually have your colonists/prisoners to be permanently lactating without having to use the drug? For example due to prolonged use or overdoses?

Adding in next update, will cause instant addiction however but when they're clean they will retain the ability to lactate  ;)

Update: Fixed some x-path issues
            Doubled harvested milk amount from 6 -> 12 every 3 days

For reference Cows produce 15 milk every day
Muffalos produce 12 milk every 2 days

Humans have opinions about everything, cows and muffaloes don't. Thought system? Consolidated Traits and Psychology have interesting trait for this mod.

Just don't tell Any one in the colony bout' this.

Just tell em' it's muffalo milk or otherwise they start spiting their glass milks from their mouths, and start throwing a temper tantrums in the colony.

I forgot that scene from that movie were one of the men started drinking milk that's not from cows... :o

Update:
-Natural lactation now only begins when pregnancy is discovered/visible instead of on conception
-Natural Lactation timer shortened from ~75 days -> ~45 days

Also, would you consider adding a "human cow" (call it whatever you want) trait that would make the pawn to make milk significantly faster?

At the moment not possible with how the mod is made, it is a set value in the Patch xml.
If/When i get around to learning to use Hugslib/Harmony then i would certainly look into adding options and traits to alter milk values.

You can change frequency and amount in MilkPatch.xml but do not set it to lower than 1 or you will get unlimited fullness causing them to be milked indefinetly

Thank you for answering me!

Now this is just another idea but it is related to another mod Rimjobworld so I am afraid if you can do this or not.

The idea is:
Different milking frequency and milk amount depending on pawn's breast size labelled in their hediffs that are given by Rimjobworld...
example :
FlatBreasts -> 1 amount
SmallBreasts - 2 amount
Breasts - 5 amount
etc...

Is it possible to make this kind of stuff in the mod?

Update: Milk and Eggs are no longer "Reserved for Prisoners" and can be hauled from prison cells

This mod now requires HugsLib (If your modding Rimworld you should have it anyways)

It is compatible indeed.
Different sizes of certain female phisical attributes do influence the quantity of milk produced and the cooldown time.

I found a bug, it seems banished colonists don't produce milk, even if they have the hediff. They start producing again if you arrest and then recruit them.

Not a bug as they are no longer apart of your colony, same as you can't milk visitor's animals (or the visitor's themselves lol)

I've done a bit more testing, the issue isn't that I can't milk them, but that the "Milk fullness: x%" doesn't show up at all. It reappears once the banished colonist has been recruited. If you apply the hediff to a visitor either with dev mode or the drug the milk fullness thing still shows up, you just can't milk them when it's full unless you imprison them.

that is standard vanila behaviour. You can't milk or check the fullness of wild animals or pawn they arn't from your faction.
What do you would say, when every stranger raise your shirt or lower your pants to check your fullness and maybe try to milk you ?

I can see milk fullness for animals that allies own even in vanilla, and I can see milk fullness on allied and enemy humanlikes that have the hediff. The only cases where you can't see milk fullness are wild milk-producing animals, and banished colonists, even if you imprison them. The only way have it show up for ex-colonists again is to re-recruit them.

Here's a heretical concept; not that that's anything new to RimWorld. Unmilked colonists will occasionally cause messes. I'll leave it up to everyone else to figure out what that entails.

Not what I meant.
Babies and Children has an option to "breastfeed" babies when they are hungry. My question stems from the fact that the option was greyed out for every lactating pawn I had regardless of their "fullness" state, so I was wondering if Milkable Colonists is compatible with that feature or did I mess something with either mod's installation and/or, say, load order.
Preliminary check suggests both this mod and BnC have their own lactation hedriffs, but I have no idea about reading scripts, so I don't know what BnC exactly checks for.
