Title: Don't eat the whole grass!!!
Post by: Dupla on February 10, 2019, 06:43:27 AM
Hi All! I am currently using growable grass mod, so my herds can graze in my territory. My problem is when the grass matures (66% if im right), my animals eat the whole plant and my colonists are planting grass 99% in their time. I was thinking if it is possible to leave some grass behind, let's say 5%, just like when it is sowed? Because animals should not eat the roots of the grass and my colonists could free up a lot of their time.

That would be a great quality of life improvement.

Oh yes, please! My thrumbo ranch consumes an awful lot of haygrass. I pasture the beasties away from the growing areas, so that the plants are harvested only when 100% mature. But that also means double labor (planting and harvesting). If animals would graze properly, like most every earthling ruminant does by instinct, that would make any ranch more realistic and fun.

+1, would also like to see unharvested plants that are eaten get reverted to 5% growth instead of deleted.
