Title: Patching up prisoners in the field
Post by: Greenbear on May 12, 2019, 03:22:39 AM
Hello everyone,

can someone tell me if there is a mod that allows you to patch up bleeding hostiles in the field before taking them to your prison? The few useful characters that survive the attack tend to bleed out before I get them inside a room because of the silly "prisoners need to be inside" rule. Surely an exception can be made for downed individuals?
All mods I could find add options to create certain items that allow healing without beds, but those would require lots of additional work and carrying stuff around all the time to be prepared. I just want the usual healing options outside of a prison cell (ie patching up the worst cuts so I can transport them safely inside).

Thanks in advance!

maybe. But i don't know if you can patch of hostiles.

Rim of Magic, maybe a bit overfeautured.
But when you got priest/druids you can cast healing on hostiles too.

I wish they just drop the haul to bed option altogether. Bed is for recovery, not even useful for stop bleeding and etc.

With combat extended you can "Stabilize" pawns

Thank you guys for your suggestions. The solution wasn't among them, though. =/
Field Medic is one of those options I mentioned that forces you to prepare a medic bag beforehand and carry it around with you at all times just in case, which I find too troublesome.
Combat Extended messes up combat in its entirety, so installing it only for the stabilising aspect is a poor trade, imo.
I really just want an option to patch up a hostile pawn outside before carrying them to the prison. If they get an infection from poor bandage quality or dirty environment, so be it.

I think you need a mod like this: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1206975223&searchtext=tending

It is odd that you can't.  You can make a resting spot and designate it medical to patch anybody else, but not hostiles.  For incapped hostiles it's not clear why.

Together with this one: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1203903378 (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1203903378) from the same author.

In the description it says: `
Features
- Ability to have pawns walk up to downed (human) targets and "cuff" em, resulting in said target becoming a prisoner of the colony. No bed required. Once "cuffed", prisoners act and behave like regular vanilla prisoners (i.e. they follow you around when on a caravan map and move to prisons when arriving in colony maps).

- Ability to tend to downed prisoners without the need for both a bed and medicine! (See original mod updates)
