Title: Where is the mod sorting list saved?
Post by: Benjamin Badly on November 02, 2019, 05:29:41 PM
Specifically, my problem is that I have multiple installations of Rimworld on my computer, one for lightly modded, one for heavily modded, one for multiplayer etc,  and when I go back to my heavily modded installation from a lightly modded one, all my mods are deactivated and I have to reorder them(100+). I have modmanager but, because of some unknown conflict, the user interface won't work so it's only kinda useful and can't load and save modlists.

Where is the file that saves the mod order so I can just back it up manually? I'm assuming it's in my appdata somewheres.

The modlist is stored at the Modconfig.xml at the area all the config's are stored.

With a good mod manager mod you should be able to restore the list and keep the order.
Ofcourse when you load a safegame, rimworld ask you to adjust the modlist to match the safegame.

But i suggest when you use 2 differen modsets, to use 2 different savedatafolders.
Create a new shortcut and add behind the .exe (if you use the windows version)
-savedatafolder=C:/Path/To/The/Folder
to overwrite the default savedatafolder.
More info at the readme.txt at the rimworld installation folder.
