Title: Tweak trait frequency?
Post by: davidluz09 on December 09, 2019, 01:55:44 AM
Does anyone know of a mod [1.0] that permits players to tweak how frequently various traits show up or barring that, eliminates them entirely?  I've found lots of mods that add new traits, but am not seeing one that affects frequency of vanilla traits.

Isn't that already an option you can set on the custom scenario screen? I know you can make traits MORE frequent, would be strange if it didn't work the other way around too. Just set the slider to 0% or something for the trait in question.

Yes, there is "Forced trait" at the scenario editor.
But that would all NPC, Player pawns or both.

Maybe you can use the same that a trait don't appear anymore when you set the chance to 0%.

Since that are scenario setting, it isn't that easy to add these to a old safegame.
Best would be to start a new colony with these settings and safe it.
Open that safegame with an texteditor
Locate/search for the scenario setting and copy the entries.
Then open your old safegame and paste them at the right location.
Don't forget to backup the safegame in case you did something wrong ! :-)
