On my old saves all of my pawns and prisoners disappeared but my tamed animals stayed.
now when i try to start a new world it says generating world then sends me back to the previous menu and the error Log pops up.
I'm not sure why this is happening since my mod list hasn't changed

Many mod's are under constant development, so the workshop update is a bless and curse at the same.
It keep your mods uptodate but even can break safegames.
You are still using
RimWorld 1.0.2559 rev775
so i think you allready checked that all mods are for 1.0 too.
But there are serveral error's at startup, and most of them arn't simple XML errors.
Since most modauthor include their latest 1.0 mod at the release but didn't develop it further.
Since you want start a new colony anyway, i would suggest that your update your rimworld to the latest version too and the mods.
