Title: Take a Whole Save and Move it to a New World
Post by: etanm2013 on November 07, 2020, 10:08:34 AM
Say I wanted to take my Map (base and pawns) and just copy-paste it onto a new world. Would it be possible and how?

Possible, yes.
Easy, no.
Since i don't know a tool that do such a thing you need to do it manual.
The whole safegame is plain text, grab a good texteditor and dig into the safegames.
I would create a new colony at the new world you want.
Open the new savegame with an texteditor, identiy the world data, and copy&replace it at the old safegame.
But i fear that wouldn't work that easy, because of all the other faction and the relations to your pawns.

Personaly before i spend 1-2 days to figure out about the safegames, i just would start a new colony with different modset and just keep playing.

I was guessing that would be the answer.
