I've been playing a good map, quite a few mods (rollers, Mines, Rimwar, Nuke fission, Glittertech, rimfridge, and a few minor ones). I got to the point that it was no longer a challenge so I went shopping for more mods, downloaded zombieland and then ... I noticed I stopped getting raided. I removed zombieland and continued to play for another hour, still no raids. I'm on Cassandra, loosing is fun. Yesterday I decided to start a new map, into it for about 3 hours, same storyteller, no raids. I removed the game in steam and reloaded, new game, same issue. Today I've been playing it for about 6 hours, 2 different maps, and still nothing. I get random traders, but not a single infestation, raid, crazy animals or anything. I have no defenses and my pawns haven't fired a shot sense before Zombieland.
Question is. How do I fully remove the game, all mods and any files. I want to start fresh, grab the mods that I like and reload from scratch?
Hi,
- when you play with mods, you should enable developer mode at the option, then you got access to some new icons on top, and the log window will popup when a new error happen.
- when you use mods, be sure you don't get error's after activation the mods. Check if you miss some required mods maybe, but better don't use a mod that throw out errors.
- Once you started a colony, it isn't a good thing to remove mods. It could work with mod's that don't add stuff to the game. But i wouldn't recommend it.
- When you encounter error's during gameplay, as player you need to life with them. So long they arn't game breaking. When you think it is gamebreaking, change your modlist and try another colony.
Yes i know it is frustration, but as player you don't have much choises, and not all mod's works well (together with others).
At rare cases, you can identify a mod over the error message, then you could ask the mod author about it.
Don't forget to add the logfile (player.log check button at the option menu for the location) or when you use hugslib mod, use the green Share logs button at the log window.

Mod's don't modify the base game. If you disable all mods, you shouldn't have any problems.
But if you still got error's after another rimworld start without all mods (after disable mods the log could be full or errors, because rimworld think something is missing) you can either delete the Data (not the Rimworld...._data) folder at the installation and reinstall/repair it.
Since you ask about the location, you prolly use Steam workshop, just unsubscribe them, to get right of them.
