Title: carnivore/vegan package survival meal
Post by: mlzovozlm on July 21, 2021, 09:47:56 AM
it's simple really, while there're carnivore/vegan fine/lavish meal already, why aren't there for package survival meal and even pemmican?
if you're vegan in Ideology rn, you'll be forced to spend money on animal products (milk + egg) from traders, or to raise the animals yourself, which might be impossible, or might take a longgg time til you reach that point. And the animals don't even produce egg + milk that fast either

so yeah 🤷‍♂️ carnivore + vegan versions for package meal, and pemm. may be

This would be really easy to mod in; I think it would just need some XML stuff, which you could copy off of other items and recipes.

exactly, which means it doesn't really make sense that it's not in vanilla itself together with fine + lavish meal to begin with

Pemmican needs 1 Planet and 1 Meat. So making a vegetarian or carnivore variant is physically impossible.

I do agree that Survival meal could use a preference based variant.

Nutrient paste could also use Meat/Vegan variants.
Currently it being nutrient paste does not disguise the ingredients (like human or insect meat used). I asume the same is true for plant or meat.
